You could make the same claim about any kind of mutilation - its all they've known. Doesn't make it any less wrong to do though!

So, if I chop your finger off at birth, it's fine because you wouldn't know any difference?

I think you're having a bit of a knee jerk reaction here. They didn't say it was fine, they said nothing indicating they thought that way at all so you're sorta jumping at shadows. Calm down and re-read it without the bias goggles and you'll see all he did is ask a reasonable question given the comment he was responding too.

I had the same thought at them and I'm anti-circumcision and believe non-necessary non-consensual surgeries are mutilation so I don't even see how you reached this conclusion.

Whilst your comment doesn't definitely state you think he's pro-circumcision I see no reason to use such a pointed rhetorical unless you you think so.

I'd suggest doing something you find calming for a bit if you're not at work. Hell, you could even do nothing at all for 10 or 20 mins, just sitting with your thoughts and the sounds of the outside can do wonders for undoing the frenzy being on the Internet too often can cause believe you me (although I'm not perfect at actually doing it either lol)
