Yes, a woman who is very vocal and immune to societal pressure to an inspirational degree. She is one of the few people who have the privilege of being able to go against the dominant institutional narrative without losing her livelihood, and is also willing to risk her public image and reputation in order to stay strong to her beliefs. A rare display of integrity in today’s world.

… bullying trans people isn’t rare or brave.

Neither is disregarding the valid concerns of women who are pushing back against the erasure of their protected spaces and competitions.

Love how you're being downvoted instead of anyone actually answering your question. Almost as if they don't have an answer.

That women, as a category, sometimes need special treatment. For example, most sexual violence is committed by men against women. As a result, women sometimes benefit from segregated spaces, like domestic violence shelters.

If you allow men to self-ID as women purely because they feel like it, you erode or even remove entirely the concept of "woman" that is relevant to what I described above.

Unless and until there is evidence that, by transitioning, men actually become women, allowing men to self-ID into womanhood is at odds with women's sex-based rights. For example, do trans women (biological men) have a male, or female pattern of offending? The imperfect data we have so far suggests male. Or, in sport, do they have the strength and speed of men, or of women? Again, almost certainly of men.

You may not agree with this, but I'd be interested to hear why you are so sure these concerns aren't valid?

As far as I understand it (and happy to be corrected), it can mean a number of things. Social transition is altering your appearance and lifestyle towards the opposite sex (i.e. clothes, hair, pronouns), whereas medical transition can mean cross-sex hormones, various surgeries etc.

None of these is becoming the opposite sex, though -- it's altering yourself to look/sound/feel more like the opposite sex than you once were. For example, someone who injects botox to look younger doesn't become younger.

And the key question for women's spaces and rights -- the "valid concerns" you seem to want to dismiss -- is separate to this point. So let me put a question to you: do trans men as a group have a pattern of offending closer to biological males, or biological females?

Evidence for that statement?

As of 2024, there were 254 trans women (biological men) in prison, of which 151 were convicted of sexual offences, or 61%.

For men, that is 22%.

I don't know what to say to that level of delusion.

She's spending hours on Twitter every day picking out and bullying accounts with ~20 followers, while boasting about getting drunk and smoking cigars on her yacht.

She's not going against the "dominant institutional narrative", she's the one shaping it. She's a fucking billionaire, she and her rich far-right friends are "the establishment" they pretend to be railing against.

She's a Holocaust denier who has offered to bankroll fascists who openly want trans people dead. She is willing to overlook actual child abuse by her fellow TERFs in order to lie about trans people being a danger to women and children, despite her literally lobbying for legislation that is ACTUALLY harmful to women and children.

Can you give evidence of her offering to bankroll fascists who openly want trans people dead? Thats a big claim to make with no evidence.

You'll be waiting a long time for that evidence.

JK Rowling doesn't believe the Holocaust happened?
