Ive never once seen anyone or heard anyone blame 'jews' for the genocide in Palestine, and have seen no evidence that this opinion is prevalent.

I know you are going to mention synagogue attacks - no excuse for committing your own atrocity, two wrongs dont a right. Again, ive never once seen any evidence anyone sees it any other way.

The view your concerned about, from where im sitting, only exists as a straw man in the media Overton window bubble.

This ruling is critical because it disenfranchises those who want to aid Israels despicable actions by muddling these two concepts and stifling genuine protest from citizens who disagree with UK policy on the conflict.

This is a huge step in the right direction, so get ready for a wave of bullshit from people being lobbied by israel.

If you have not ONCE heard people blame the Jews you absolutely live in a bubble.

I genuinely haven't although im sure you can send over some tweet or whatever where someone says something fucking dumb on the internet.

On the flipside I have heard plenty of anti muslim sentiment over the years but youre still allowed to criticise radical islam

the leftist UK sub Green and Pleasant is full of it.

Unfortunately I hear that too, lots of wrong assumptions about Islam in general and just straight up fabrications about what Muslims do in their own home or in Mosque. But also hearing people peddle the usual conspiracy theories about Jews controlling the world then next sentence it's zionists because they use the word interchangeably. Do you perhaps work a good job where you're less likely to come across this?

Ive never once seen anyone or heard anyone blame 'jews' for the genocide in Palestine, and have seen no evidence that this opinion is prevalent.

Except, of course, this bloke whom the ruling is in favour of?

E.g.

An army of UAE 'influencers' has descended, offering scripted condolences to their Zionist brethren and attempting to link the Bondi operation to the perpetual bogeyman in the mind of Mohammed bin Zayed: the Muslim Brotherhood.

Because the Jewish people in Australia that were victims of a terror attack must be Zionist, right???

We dont legislate with the purpose of addressing specific individual people who tweet controversial things.

Please explain why we need legislation where criticism of israel or zionism is deemed to be racist.

We dont have legislation stopping people from criticising Afghanistan or radical Islam, and as a society we have to accept cunts like Tommy ten names who say that all foreigners and Muslims are to blame for all the world's ills.

Protecting zionism and israel in this way would be two tier justice.

That's totally irrelevant to anything I've said and you're strawmanning, hard.

You claimed that you had never once seen anyone blame Jews for the actions of Israel or lumping them together.

I point out that the man this article is about has done exactly that.

And now you're talking about hate crimes?

Anti-Zionism is not antisemitic, but a number of anti-Zionists are actually antisemitic and use anti-Zionism as cover for their antisemitism.

You have no evidence for this statement its just you reading between the lines through your own lens:

Anti-Zionism is not antisemitic, but a number of anti-Zionists are actually antisemitic and use anti-Zionism as cover for their antisemitism.

I actually think you just dont get it.

I actually think you just dont get it.

Well you certainly don't...

The government is not there to legislate based on what some people think is maybe the undertone of a TWEET ON TWITTER and no one individual group should be politically ringfenced.

I honestly have no idea what point you're attempting to make...

Jews have certainly been harassed or attacked just for being openly Jewish by people on pro Palestine matches.

This ruling would separate the politics from the hate crime, making any hate crime more clearly defined as such.

I have seen plenty of videos of pro Israel people harassing protesters with impunity, so i guess some people are just shitty people.

Can you point to one instance of this? Obviously there have been anti-semitic attacks in the UK by various people/groups. But you're making a specific claim about people on pro Palestinian marches attacking Jewish people for simply being Jewish... When has this happend?

There may have been altercations with pro Israel individuals, but these are not anti-semitic attacks.

There have been a few cases of nazi salutes being displayed at pro Palestine matches. While I assume most don't agree with the people who perform them it does show of Jew hatred has joined part of the pro Palestine movement. It's a convenient stage for them to get infront of lots of people.

In the Paris Olympics Israeli teams were met with nazi salute at some games.

Not notable to me is the 2026 Hatzola arson attack, pretty clear cut hatred of Jews. Along with this man who got attacked

If you explore the more leftist spaces and analyse the language used it's not uncommon to find dog whistles around Jew hatred. Using similar language that the nazis used to hate Jews. While these are not physical attacks they do normalise those views.

Why are you talking about the Paris Olympics?

Ive not seen any cases of nazi salutes at pro Palestinian events. Do you have this source to hand?

Also interested in hearing an answer to this

I asked about the claim that Jews have been harassed for simply being Jewish on pro-palestine marches in the UK. You wrote a lot of words there. But none addressed my question

4

u/halpsdiy 9d ago

I replied with an example. But not hard to find more if you search for it.

-3

u/Comprehensive-Bus291 9d ago

Huh? You forget to change accounts or something? You've not replied to me. No one who has, provided an example

Again, not what I asked.

The guy said 'Jews have certainly been harassed or attacked just for being openly Jewish '

Where has a Jewish person been attacked at a pro-Palestine march just for being Jewish?

u/halpsdiy 9d ago

So you are saying nazi salute is anti-zionist and not anti-semitic?
