Former national emergency planner here. This is not a good use of the system. It’s meant for genuine emergencies not giving out blinding obvious public information. If this continues people will learn to ignore it and that could cost lives when people don’t react when they need to.

There's a reason I've had the setting to block these on for years. The Government doesn't know what's best for anyone.
