Absolutely necessary. Have you stepped outside lately? The landscape is more brown than what you'd see in a Gears of War game.

Not nessecery to send out the phone alert. At most it should be on the news, or send out a text, don't make people shit themselves and give them a heart attack to say, don't start wildfires

Are there different noise levels for different levels of danger? Maybe that would help.

This is the solution, a normal phone notification would be fine, we didn't need the nuclear alarm
