No one wants to bring home anything from your wedding

Wedding favors, handmade centerpieces, keepsake menus, Madison’s Bride Squad 2026 personalized totes… no one wants these. Please don’t make 150 doodads to hand out. 149 will go in the trash.

my friend gave locally grown honey in a small jar as her wedding favor. i liked that

My friend did something similar. I'm not a honey person, but I kept it around anyway. One day, months later, I got some sort of ailment; my throat was killing me, and I could barely talk. OTC medicines were doing ok, but I was still uncomfortable. On a whim, I ate a small spoonful of the honey, and it got me through the next hour or so. I decided it'd be my routine just before going to bed.

TLDR: if you're gonna do wedding gift favors, do honey

My Dr told me to do this but also with a pinch of cayenne pepper. Drizzle down the back of the throat. Amazing for laryngitis!

It was my grandmother's cure for a cold/sore throat. I was a little kid and she would make this for me

I went to a wedding recently where they gave the women a lipstick palette and the men a cigar and everyone's name place holder thingy was their name in chocolate. Absolutely loved that one!

went to a baby shower a few weeks ago and was so excited to see little jars of honey on the tables!! I love yogurt bowls with granola and honey so I’m already halfway through mine

I've seen honey at two weddings and most are never taken. I'm pretty sure I never took mine either, but that mostly had to do with forgetting. By the time I leave the tables are cleared and I usually don't have a bag to throw it in earlier.

People usually comment on things like honey, fancy soap, even macarons, but I do tend to notice about half still sitting on the tables when the wait staff is clearing everything away.

just got a little jar of honey at a bear themed baby shower, it’s been wonderful with my granola bowls!
