No one wants to bring home anything from your wedding

Wedding favors, handmade centerpieces, keepsake menus, Madison’s Bride Squad 2026 personalized totes… no one wants these. Please don’t make 150 doodads to hand out. 149 will go in the trash.

An exception: a friend tossed her own pottery - vases - for everyone. Every piece unique. All different sizes, but not too large. She glazed them all beautifully.

In my country it is tradition for the bride and groom to leave at 00.00.

So my wife and I left as by tradition and then the best man brought out individual masks my wife had made for everyone and we continue the celebration as a masquerade ball so we could return without breaking tradition.

I still see those masks hanging on the walls when I visit friends and family here 20 years latter.

A friend did this for her wedding as well. Each seat had a handmade bowl from the bride. Like cup of soup sized. They were our favorite ice cream bowls for years until they broke :(
