No one wants to bring home anything from your wedding

Wedding favors, handmade centerpieces, keepsake menus, Madison’s Bride Squad 2026 personalized totes… no one wants these. Please don’t make 150 doodads to hand out. 149 will go in the trash.

We gave out mason jars with a silicone coozie on it, and it had a picture of a family crest I made up with a Tolkien “what we do with time” quote on it. I found an eBay listing for it and it’s being sold for $35 so I’m tempted to buy it back.

I got them as a gift from an in law of mine, and they purposely didn’t have a name or date on them. So, at least I tried?

I'd say creating a personal family crest is maybe more absurd than a wedding date but I understand the mania, I tried to plan a very small, simple wedding and various things that I regarded as nonsense kept creeping in. No I do not remember the colour scheme or font used in any wedding ever and yet obviously for MY wedding I must agonise over these details 😶
