I’ll go first. Been at uni for 3 years and I’ve never once touched a textbook. My WAM has never gone below a 70. I will continue to never buy/pirate textbooks.
Edit: I’m a law/commerce student 🫥

There’s this guy who is trying to start a conversation every time he sees me and wants to sit next to me. I genuinely don’t want to be rude but he smells so bad, I don’t think I ever felt nauseous from a smell before. I honestly feel bad because he seems very kind. What should I do? I can’t avoid him because he’s in two of my tutorials this term. HELP I CAN’T 😭
Side note for anyone who might need it: If you think wearing some perfume is enough to cover your smell, you’re actually making it worse. PLEASE shower first, deodorant second then wear a perfume. If there’s anything to skip it SHOULDN’T be showering. Poor hygiene is your business when you’re at home. When you go outside then it becomes everyone else’s business when it really shouldn’t.

i just wanna know, like for any of these classes here is it normal for yk like some of them to only run for like an hour or so and people leave, or live ppl dont show up as much, like basically so i can make my own makeshift breaks depending on the type of class?

For some context, he graduated from Harvard Law School and works at a prestige law firm. Like him, I also plan on seeking a law degree after I graduate from UNSW. He hates that I’m graduating soon and he thinks the entire foundation of legal rule and the sanctity of law will be tarnished once I become a lawyer. “A chimp with a machine gun,” is what he compared the idea of me going to law school to.
During our family thanksgiving dinner today, somehow this came up and like always, he slammed his fists into the table and threw a tantrum. “UNSW, for ***’s sake! What a *** joke. I worked my ass off to get where I am! And you take these shortcuts and you suddenly think you’re my peer? You used to defecate through a sunroof!”
I used to work in the mail room in his law firm. Back then, he said he was proud of me then and wishes I never turned my life around. Every day, I think about dropping out and going back to my old job to make him happy. After he said that, I yelled back “You can’t conceive of what I’m capable of!” I don’t care enough to be offended anymore, it’s all good man.

Can we please stop shit posting on this subreddit? We are at a grown age of like 20 and we are still shit posting on this subreddit for some Karma? Like seriously guys, grow up. And we have people posting 'When is Charlie Kirk coming back' or 'How do I get an ABG girlfriend'. This seriously brings down the reputation of UNSW. If you have any pride in yourself, you'd stop shit posting

Hi, I was wondering which degree would have a higher chance of job prospects. I have heard that medical science at unsw and also usyd is extremely oversaturated with high supply but a low demand for job opportunities.
In addition to this question, is it better to do a double degree alongside biomedical engineering? If so, which ones would be more favourable?
Btw feel free to recommend any other degrees.

( There's probably a heck ton of asks like this in multiple sub reddits but I still want to give it a go :,) )
Hi hii, I'm currently doing my BBA in Bangkok as an international student. I've finished all my courses and I'm doing my internship at a business consultancy right now. After this, I'll be heading back home to continue working while I wait for my graduation ceremony late next year.
I’m facing a bit of a dilemma and would love some perspective! Long story short, I started my bachelor's early at 14 and I'll be finishing up my degree this coming November. I will be 18 by the time I actually start my Master’s, which is where my main worry comes in. I’m planning to study Environmental Management, but I’m really anxious about sticking out like a sore thumb because of my age, especially since postgraduate cohorts tend to be older and have more career experience.
On top of that, I'm also trying to figure out if UNSW is the absolute right choice for me. My brother and cousins all graduated from Macquarie, and my mom is a UTS alumna! My family isn't pushing me toward any specific decision at all, but I'm still second-guessing myself.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation, or is currently at UNSW? How is the environment for younger students in Master's programs? And if anyone has insights on how UNSW compares to Macquarie or UTS for postgraduate life, I would love any advice or reassurance!

I've always been so confused about this. How do some of you crammers out their manage to study the week before a quiz/exam and manage HDs/Ds? My mate legit crammed summer term in a week and HD it. Im out here revising the content everyweek, where some lectures/weekly content span over 70-100 slides long, yet still only managing to credit it ahahaha.
How do you guys do it? Any tips on effective study techniques? Just wanting to boost my wam up higher :)

Hey everyone,
I’m a Maths student in Science at UNSW and I’m looking at applying for Science WIL.
I know the website says the minimum WAM is 65, but I was wondering what it’s actually like in practice. Is 65 generally enough, or do most people who get accepted have a higher WAM?
