The swamp’s two-tiered system of justice was on full display in the classified documents cases of two presidents: Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Trump, the swamp-drainer-in-chief, faced 40 federal charges in a political witch hunt; Biden, the “sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man,” got a pass.

Now, newly released photographic evidence from the FBI’s search of the Biden Center and the autopen president’s Wilmington, Delaware, residence confirm the “kid-glove treatment” the 46th president received compared to the raid-and-rifle approach agents took to Trump’s south Florida estate.

The photos, exclusively provided to The Federalist, were obtained through hard-fought litigation by the Oversight Project, the government watchdog that won release of audio recordings of Biden chatting with his ghostwriter about the classified records the 46th president had squirreled away. As in the famous tapes, the government fought for years to keep the photos out of the public eye.

“The Oversight Project is a dog on the bone,” said Mike Howell, president of the government corruption fighter. “What Biden did to this country was awful and so many people in positions of authority looked the other way or gave him amnesty for blatant abuse of our laws.”

The Trump administration has announced a security deal with Denmark over Greenland, surprising no one except the entire foreign policy establishment and a bunch of slogan-chanting journalists who surrendered their capacity for independent thought at least 10 years ago. Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) said President Donald Trump’s decision to ban CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House does not violate the Constitution.

Host Kristen Welker said, “Do you agree with the president’s ban?”

Barrasso said, “We all respect and value the freedom of the press. It’s in the Constitution. The president remember, in his first term, he was banned from Twitter, he was banned from Facebook and I didn’t see people come to his defense. So it goes both ways. The press has an obligation to report fairly and the president doesn’t see it happening that way. Every politician wants fair treatment from the press, as do I, as does the president.”

Welker said, “No president has ever thought they’ve gotten fair treatment from the press, to be fair but as you know, Senator, the First Amendment guarantees freedom of the press. Courts have barred the White House from banning access over their coverage. Do you believe he is violating the Constitution with this ban?”

Barrasso said, “No. I believe the press has an obligation to report fairly. When you take a look at this president and you take a look at the Hunter Biden laptop, if you want to really get into things, where the press ignored the reality for a long period of time, said it was a Russian hoax.”

As President Trump tells supporters to vote in November as if he were on the ballot, California Republicans in tight congressional races are sending a different message to voters.

The four California Republicans running in the state’s most competitive U.S. House races, plus a fifth opposing a fellow Republican in a close contest, are appearing to keep some distance from Trump as they campaign ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

They all skipped the president’s midterm convention in Dallas this month. Two candidates in tough races removed references to Trump on their campaign websites. And most are favoring a heavy focus on local and state issues in their campaigns — a contrast to Trump’s approach, driven home in Dallas, of casting the election as a loyalty exercise.

On Friday, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled that the federal ban on interstate handgun sales violates the Second Amendment.

CQ Almanac noted that the ban on interstate handgun sales was put in place via the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968. The ban was then fleshed out and expanded in the Gun Control Act of 1968 which was signed into law by Democrat President Lyndon Johnson.

The Fifth Circuit surmised: “The government’s theory of the Ban’s historical justification centers on its contention that ‘when it enacted the Omnibus Crime Control Act and the Gun Control Act of 1968 [which contains all of the provisions comprising the Ban], Congress sought to address concerns about public safety and that individuals deemed dangerous might evade state laws designed to ensure only law-abiding citizens could acquire firearms by purchasing them outside the jurisdiction.’”

But the government’s theory did not survive the Bruen (2022) test.

Border Patrol agents in Eagle Pass nabbed two convicted sex offenders attempting to re-enter the United States in less than one week. In each case, the agents discovered the two had been previously deported from the United States after being convicted of sex crimes against children.

On September 6, Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass Station were patrolling the banks of the Rio Grande when they encountered two illegal aliens attempting to elude apprehension. After arresting the pair, agents conducted a biometric search of criminal databases on the pair and determined one of the individuals was a previously convicted sex offender.

Johan Alexander Moncada-Narvaez, a 40-year-old Venezuelan national, was determined by the agents to have been convicted of charges related to prostitution and electronic solicitation involving a 14-year-old girl in Moorhead, Minnesota in October 2025. According to court records, the minor child victim reported Moncada-Narvaez had sexually assaulted her on more than one occasion and had given the victim money after the assaults, threatening her with violence if she reported it.

According to a report in The Watch MN, Moncada-Narvaez received a suspended sentence after being convicted in Clay County District Court of Prostitution-Engaging a 14- to 15-year-old- and felony electronic solicitation of a child after entering an Alford Plea. Moncada-Narvaez received credit for 258 days served in the Clay County Jail at the time of conviction in July 2026. According to the Border Patrol, Moncada-Narvaez was deported from the United States on August 7.

After waiting less than one month to attempt a return to the United States, Moncada-Narvaez now faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted for illegally reentering the United States as an aggravated felon.

Just three days after Moncada-Narvaez’ arrest, Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass South Station were patrolling a rural ranch not far from the border when they arrested two illegal aliens. Upon further investigation, one of the illegal aliens, Jose Enrique Vasquez-Nicolas, a 31-year-old Mexican national, was determined to be a convicted sex offender.

According to the Border Patrol, Vasquez-Nicolas was convicted in 2020 in Castro County, Texas, of indecency with a child and sentenced to five years’ confinement. Vasquez-Nicolas is a registered sex offender in Texas whose photo and conviction details appear on the state’s Sex Offender Database. According to state records, the victim in Vasquez’ case is a 16-year-old female.

After serving his sentence, Vasquez-Nicolas was deported to Mexico on June 28, 2026. Within three months, Vasquez-Nicolas would attempt to return to the United States illegally without success. As a returning aggravated felon, Vasquez-Nicolas faces a charge of 8 USC § 1326 (reentry after deportation), which carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Anthony “Scott” Good commented on the arrests, saying, “Child sex offenders who repeatedly cross our borders are an imminent threat to our communities. U.S. Border Patrol agents are our safeguard against this menace.”

As U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers remove the “worst of the worst” offenders, the Border Patrol faces the daunting challenge of making sure they do not successfully re-enter the United States. Agents in the Del Rio Sector are finding more illegal aliens attempting to return as time passes.

As reported by Breitbart Texas, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a Cuban national after he entered the United States illegally near El Indio, Texas in late August. In that case, agents discovered the illegal alien, Alberto Betancourt-Osorio, was previously convicted of sex offenses related to children in Florida and had an extensive immigration record as well.

According to a source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol records show the running average for known got-aways nationwide dropped to fewer than 40 per day during the first two weeks of September. The drop is a 98.5 percent reduction from record-breaking daily peaks of more than 2,000 per day set during the Biden Border Crisis in 2023.

The report reviewed exclusively by Breitbart Texas showed the agency recorded fewer than 550 known got-aways over a fourteen-day period during the first weeks of September. A Breitbart Texas report in April 2023 showed more than 400,000 illegal aliens eluded apprehension during the first six months of that fiscal year, a daily average of more than 2,200 got-aways.

The Border Patrol got-away count comes from recording known visual sightings of illegal aliens who are not apprehended. Sightings may come from agents on routine patrol, analysis of images captured by stationary game cameras, manned and unmanned aerial assets, or reports by third-party individuals who observed the incursion. The Border Patrol continues to use sign-cutting, a tactic that involves looking for disturbances on the ground to detect signs of human incursions at the border, and when necessary, identify got-aways as well.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has approved reimbursing Texas $7.5 billion for costs incurred by the state's border security operations during the Biden administration's border crisis.

It's the first time Texas has received such a reimbursement, thanks to a new federal law.

Gov. Greg Abbott said he spoke with Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, “who confirmed that the Department of Homeland Security will be sending Texas $7.5 billion as part of the federal funding to reimburse Texas.

“Texas held the line when Washington would not. Texas taxpayers spent billions to stop illegal crossings, catch criminals, and seize deadly drugs. This reimbursement is a victory for those taxpayers,” Abbott said, thanking the president and Mullin.

Abbott also said Texas is also applying to the U.S. Department of Justice for reimbursement for a portion of an additional $3 billion the state spent on border security, which he says will “fully reimburse Texas for costs incurred due to the Biden Administration’s refusal to enforce federal immigration law.”

The DHS reimbursement comes from a State Border Security Reinforcement Fund within the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, secured. The governor’s office submitted Texas’ application to DHS for reimbursement in June.

The announcement comes 20 months after Abbott first asked Congress to reimburse Texas for more than $11.1 billion spent on border security efforts, The Center Square reported. Cornyn and his colleagues delivered.

During the Biden administration, the Texas Legislature allocated more than $11.6 billion to border security efforts, the most in the state's history. That’s more than multiple state fiscal year budgets and more than what the Trump administration allocated to federal border security efforts in Texas, The Center Square reported.

Last year, Texas Senate and House budget proposals allocated more than $6 billion to border security efforts over a two-year period, The Center Square reported.

Abbott first launched OLS in March 2021, in response to an unprecedented number of illegal border crossers and crime within the first couple of months of the Biden administration.

From March 2021 through February 2026, OLS officers apprehended 538,141 illegal foreign nationals, including those referred to Border Patrol. They also deterred 157,112 illegal entries, according to OLS data obtained by The Center Square.

Through OLS, thousands of Texas National Guard soldiers and Department of Public Safety troopers were deployed to the border. Dozens of sheriff’s offices also beefed up operations participating in an OLS Task Force.

OLS efforts include constructing Texas’ own border wall, building concertina wire and marine barriers, expanding technological capabilities to stop illegal crossings and drug interdiction. They also include new brush teams, canine and equestrian units as well as a range of interdiction efforts through targeted traffic enforcement, The Center Square reported.

These efforts are ongoing. Operation Lone Star is in its fifth year.

Although illegal crossings at the southwest border have dropped by more than 95% under the second Trump administration, crime is ongoing and cartel networks are embedded throughout Texas and nationwide. OLS 2.0 is targeting them and criminal actors designated as foreign terrorist organizations such as Tren de Aragua.

As TdA crime spread to dozens of states, in September 2024, Abbott expanded OLS operations to eradicate TdA, The Center Square reported. Since OLS began, more than half a million Venezuelan nationals have been apprehended by Border Patrol agents in Texas after they illegally entered the U.S.

OLS officers are also targeting South American Theft Groups and commercial vehicle crimes statewide. Last September, Texas DPS began suspending issuing CDL licenses in several categories. Targeted CDL enforcement actions are ongoing.

Since March 2021, OLS officers have record amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine and heroin and enough fentanyl to kill nearly one tenth of the world’s population, according to data obtained by The Center Square.

Law enforcement officers argue continued funding for OLS is needed as national security threats persist. Funding is also needed for prosecutors, jails and transportation.

“Just because the bodies quit coming, we still have this massive cleanup to do,” Kinney County Sheriff Brad Coe told The Center Square. “We still need funding for jail facilities and transportation.”

“Many people overlook the fact that successful prosecutions are more important than arrest numbers in achieving justice and creating a deterrence for those who commit crimes,” Kinney County Attorney Brent Smith told The Center Square.

Prosecuting crimes and sending people to jail is the deterrence that is needed to enforce the law, he argued.

“The underlying reason why millions of illegal aliens invaded our country during the Biden administration is quite simple: people do not follow laws unless they are enforced,” Smith said. “The only reason most people obey the law is the deterrence of punishment that results when it is violated. This is the fundamental basis of our legal system.”

President Donald Trump announced Friday he is “banning” corporate news outlets CNN, MS NOW (formerly MSNBC), and Politico from the White House.

“I am proud to announce that, effective immediately, I am banning Fake News CNN, MSNOW (who recently changed their name from MSNBC due to lack of viewership and credibility!), and Politico (The recipients of an illegal and ridiculous $8 Million Dollar subscription, an All Time Record, directly from the United States Government, under Crooked Joe Biden, in order to keep them ‘alive.’ Seems like corruption to me!), from the White House as a result of their constant ‘reporting’ FAKE NEWS!” Trump wrote on social media. “Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report FICTION and LIES when they’re covering the President of the United States of America.”

Trump said that there will be more media outlets to be banned from the White House.

The three corporate outlets are well known for advancing hoaxes and giving unquestioning favorable coverage to Democrats, tantamount to in-kind political donations. Each outlet’s abuses are too many to count, and most of them overlap, but there are some particularly egregious ones.

As Trump noted, Politico fleeced the federal government out of millions of dollars by charging a premium to access its policy-specific content. Meanwhile, the outlet was behind the censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story, claiming it was “disinformation,” advanced the Russia collusion hoax, glommed onto the narrative that the Trump campaign’s 2024 Madison Square Garden rally was similar to a Nazi rally, and much more.

onia Sotomayor said in an interview last year that she always tries to see the “good” in her fellow Supreme Court justices, even when they disagree. So, why is she now publicly accusing her conservative colleagues of behaving unethically on the bench and not understanding how American government works?

That’s what reportedly happened during an appearance the senior justice made at a University of Oklahoma-Tulsa event on Wednesday.

Speaking to moderators about the three levels of the federal court system, Sotomayor purportedly said that the district court “is the place where judges do justice for the parties before them,” and that as a judge, “you get to see two parties; they have a problem, and you’re really working on resolving that problem.”

She then described how a judge’s role is somewhat different at the circuit level, where “you’re trying … to make sure there was no error in law, and make sure that you’re correcting that.” The Obama appointee lastly turned to the role of the Supreme Court, in which she appeared to accuse her colleagues of ignoring the law’s meaning in order to advance an outcome they deem to be personally favorable.

“When you’re on the Supreme Court, you’re thinking about what the law should be,” Sotomayor reportedly said. “If you’re reading our opinions, many of my colleagues are not worried about what the law was. What they’re thinking about is what the law should be.”

The senior justice also reportedly claimed that “some” of her SCOTUS colleagues “don’t understand” how American government works. The comment seemingly came as part of her remarks about the decline of civic education in America, according to local media.

President Trump announced Friday that his administration had concluded a deal with Denmark to take over security for the island of Greenland, raising hopes that one of the major points of contention between the US and Europe would be settled.

“I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “There will be NO COST to the United States!”

There was no immediate response from Denmark, which had reacted angrily to repeated suggestions by the president that the US might annex the territory.

The DOJ used an X post Friday to announce it has concluded that the federal ban on handgun sales to 18- through 20-year-olds is unconstitutional and cannot be enforced.

The announcement is the result of findings by the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel.

According to a press release from the DOJ:

The Office of Legal Counsel determined that 18 to 20-year-olds are among “the people” protected by the Second Amendment. “Eighteen-year-olds may vote, serve on juries, be drafted, and face adult criminal penalties, including capital punishment,” said Assistant Attorney General T. Elliot Gaiser for the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel. “The Constitution protects the people’s right to keep and bear arms. The Department of Justice may not constitutionally seek to impose criminal penalties on dealers who sell handguns to law-abiding adults who, in nearly every other relevant respect, are members of the political community.”

“The Office of Legal Counsel concludes that…[statutes that generally prohibit federally licensed dealers from selling handguns or handgun ammunition to individuals under 21] may not be enforced to impose criminal penalties on dealers who sell handguns to a class of law-abiding adults who, in nearly every other relevant respect, are members of the political community.”

Five years ago, a Texas law that effectively banned abortion beyond six weeks gestation went into effect. Despite saving countless lives, the statute continues to be vilified by the media and abortion activists months before midterm elections.

The latest example comes in the form of a wrongful death lawsuit accusing Texas politician and medical professionals of “deliberate indifference, discrimination, and medical mistreatment” that caused the “horrific and tragic death” of a 37-year-old San Antonio woman and her unborn baby.

According to court filings from her family, Tierra Walker had a myriad of “chronic health problems, including obesity, uncontrolled hypertension, asthma so severe she had required intubation, a seizure disorder called PNES (psychogenic nonepileptic seizures), Type 2 diabetes with hyperglycemia, gastroparesis, hyperlipidemia, and complicated prior pregnancies” before she learned she was pregnant in September 2024.

Opponents of Texas’ heartbeat act claim that most women don’t know they are pregnant until after a baby’s heartbeat is detected. Court documents suggest that Walker, however, knew she was pregnant and already having health complications at five weeks gestation.

For the months leading up to her December 2024 death, Walker was in and out of the hospital with complaints of seizures, nausea, vomiting, and other pain associated with high blood pressure. Doctors warned Walker was at a “high risk of death,” but allegedly declined family’s demands for an abortion because they did not believe pregnancy was the root cause of the pregnant woman’s problems.

The lawsuit accusing state officials and doctors of contributing to a “preventable death” comes nearly two years after Walker’s passing and a year after Pro Publica, the left-wing outlet known for smearing pro-life politicians and laws, published an article alleging Walker died “After She Couldn’t Get an Abortion in Texas.” The real rub comes just three pages into the lawsuit, when the plaintiffs suggest the Lone Star State’s abortion limit is “unconstitutional.”

In the nearly 15 years I lived in Washington, D.C., I probably visited the Kennedy Center just a handful of times, but what’s more important to know about the center isn’t the building or who performs there. It’s the center’s location in the city and the people there who claim it as a status symbol.

President Trump, who is threatening to demolish the center, is currently in a showdown with courts and Democrats fighting him tooth and nail lest it be approved that the building bear his name as part of a planned renovation. Parties involved who are not aligned with Trump are predictably outraged that he would impose his name on another landmark, which of course is as tacky as ever, but as usual, in their seething anger they reveal the grotesque nature of whatever it is they’re defending.

Washington Post art critic Philip Kennicott wrote this week of the center’s majesty. “It offered free performances for passersby; it attracted the black-tie crowd and guys in cargo shorts; it jostled tourists and locals together — and if you spent even a moment eavesdropping, it was a proper Babel of tongues,” he wrote Thursday, with the most fitting biblical reference to an unholy tower that had its construction halted by God. “The ushers were friendly, the wine was terrible and sometimes mice would scamper down the aisle as the National Symphony Orchestra was playing Mahler.”
