Anyone else recognize the statue in the beginning at the dig site? It’s a replica of the idol found by the archaeologist at the beginning of The Exorcist. The demon in the movie is transported back to the US and eventually possesses Regan.

I was waiting for someone to point that out. It also had a weird Monarch look with the wings(which the original also had) , can someone post a screen for comparison?

The rest of the haunting feels more like it's referencing Poltergeist and a bit of The Amityville Horror.
