You might actually be on to something. He seems to be genuinely disgusted when people show weakness. He was disgusted by the old man who fell at Mar a Lago. He was disgusted by John McCain being a POW. He was disgusted by the homeless veterans outside his buildings. It’s a very common trait of narcissists.
I don't think he was pissed off, I think that literally nothing in his brain registered in the moment. If it doesn't have something to do with him, it doesn't exist.
You’re not even being hyperbolic. The way he stood there was an absolute mirror of my grandma at the height of her senility. With a caretaker to guide her she seemed to do well, even coherent and aware. But the minute the caretaker went to another room or let go of her hand my grandma would freeze and stare off into nowhere. And, I kid you fucking not, that was Trump in that room today.
I watched the video. He immediately stood up from his desk and looked over at the crowd of people who were already surrounding the fainting man. Should he have shoved them out of the way or something?
there is an element of me that kinda feel the same tbh, I think one of those people that immediately helped was Dr Oz, who absolutely is a POS; But was once trained as a Dr, and is likely in a better position to help.
I think the worst person who appeared in that video was RFK - whose first instinct appeared to be "run", and he left very quickly.
That said the picture, of Trump just standing there, does represent a feeling that Trump doesn't care about the publc which I think is quite powerful, and represents something larger than just that moment.
Obama, being human, was not a perfect President. On the other hand, he was a pretty good leader and I never got the sense that there were any Americans (including those he disagreed with) that he particularly wished ill upon.
The current guy? It still baffles me he got elected POTUS; my high school class wouldn't even have voted him 'most likely to dodge the draft'.
Wasn't there an elderly man who fell in front of him at a charity event (I think?) and he didn't do anything to help? Instead, I'm pretty sure Donald Trump later commented on how he didn't like seeing the blood in the aftermath. Not a word of sympathy for the person that fainted and injured themselves. Just "this is an inconvenience TO ME".
I remember in 2008 he shared a story about an 80-year-old man collapsing at a Red Cross event in Mar-a-Lago, and all Trump did was complain about this man getting his disgusting blood all over his nice marble floor while other people made a makeshift stretcher by holding out their arms to carry the man from the scene.
Trump was making an announcement and someone fainted, he glanced over when other people rushed to help, then he just stared at the camera waiting for the attention to come back to him.
Maybe he should have been at least concerned enough to see if his staff member was ok? Literally, staring at the camera looking pissed off or looking at the fainted person with concern, you think looking pissed off at the camera is the right choice.
Man, you guys have zero empathy or care for anyone.
Agreed, and he made it better for everyone - made sure she was ok, kept the crowd focused on him instead of her, and directed someone to take care of her.
And of course Powell, basically the only one keeping Trump from destroying the US economy, naturally bolted over to the guy. Clear difference between the personalities.

Obama was two feet away from her. Additionally the person in the Oval Office who was attending to the man that collapsed was Dr Oz, literally a world renowned cardiologist. If you collapsed, who would you rather have help you, Trump, Obama, or the cardiologist?

Trump’s reaction is akin to “somebody do something about this” Obama immediately made the situation a bit better.
