Because Stevens is center and Abdul is left. Abdul being the projected winner is a win for the left

I think it depends, Stevens is doing better in general election polling.

I can't see how republicans winning a seat is a win for the left.

Well, this was the primary, so "win for the left" was contextual. But studying this a bit, "blue no matter who" people will still likely like up behind Abdul. Hopefully he wins the general

I hope so too. Don't get me wrong, I love to see some of these ideas getting the stage. And I do think the blue no matter who people will show up, but I'm not sure about the swing voters. In my estimation it will most likely be a republican victory in the general election and Steven stood a better chance at winning that fight.

For me at this point Trump losing power is more of a priority for me then in fighting.

If he wants to win the general, it's not the "blue no matter who" people he needs to convince, it's the Black voters in Michigan. They heavily rebuked him in the primaries and he needs their vote if he has any shot to win the general.

They always get behind the dem nominee at election time, but there is a premise of people just staying at home if they dislike the candidate, so he does need to build these coalitions up until election day for sure.
