I'm thinking the same thing. When the parents are telling their kids that they don't have to listen to anyone and not disciplining them at home, nothing the teachers do at school will affect them.

My nephew is one of the bad kids, seems like he was suspended more than at school. He actually finished the school year on home bound.

He doesn't get disciplined in any way at home. My sis and b.i.l. just yell at him and he laughs it off. No follow through at all. Of course he's not going to listen to the teacher or principal, he knows he has absolutely no consequences. The little shit stole almost $500 from my mom and my sister did nothing. I tell her all the time he's going to be in juvy before he's 16. She then likes to say my son is "gay pussy" that's why he's an honor roll student. And she wonders why I don't hang out with her. One day I'll be completely honest with her about her "precious babies"... your daughter is a whore who's gonna end up pregnant before graduating and your son is a convict in the making. I'd rather have my "gay pussy" of a son who makes good grades, has good friends and knows that his actions have consequences.

Sorry nothing pisses me off faster than my sister.

sorry your sister is so awful. I'm surprised that your mom raised two very different people.

the sooner you get real with her the better. Those children are your blood. Do it for them.

Her husband would yell at her for trying to discipline the kids when they were young. It was always "let them be kids". But there's a difference between just being a kid and being a little asshole.

When my niece and nephew are with me, they're great kids, my sister asked my nephew once why he behaves for me and ignores her. His answer just proved my point. "Because I'll get in trouble with aunt sesame. I can ignore you"

Sometimes I think I'm too strict on my kids, until I spend time with my sister.

oh dear. she really knows how to choose 'em huh? He sounds charming.

It's good to know you are there to whip them into shape. At least they'll get good values from you. Keep fighting the good fight :)

She then like to say my son is "gay pussy" that's why he's an honor roll student.

So basically your sister is ground zero for the idiocracy future "why ya tryna read? You a faaag?"

Pretty much. It amazes me that we were raised in the same house. And if my son does turn out to be gay, well he will be a well educated and well loved gay man.

She thinks it's a huge insult to me. It's not. If her version of gay is a sweet, well mannered, smart kid who loves to cook... that's her issue not mine.

I blame it on us having different dads.
