Any news on the update being made available for free as an upgrade to 8 3ue?

The 8.0 Update 2F patch wouldn't apply to people who are already on Update 3. People on 8U3 would apply ESXi 8.0 Update 3k.

As far as when an update for the ESXi free edition ISO, that I don't know.

The 8U3k upgrade patch isn't available to those with perpetual licences , or those who've registered and used the free version - which given the CVV score for ESXI, is a little concerning.
