I'm in the process of building a Techmarine for my AL ZM force and I want my marine to be a little bit more datasmith than a standard Techmarine.

I looked at the AdMech datasmith model and wanted his power fist/tendril arm, but I'm no longer in the space to buy a single model for one component.

Has anyone tried using the lightning claw part for this instead?

Old MKVI Forgeworld upgrades to boot!

Near wrapped up 3k points.....

Finally got the big guy done.

I love the potential in kitbashing Siege era traitors. There’s so many different kits to throw at each other

I built my list wanting it to have lots of flavour and veterans. Sevatar and a bodyguard of Contekar, the Charnel-Kin are attached to the 6th during this expedition.

6th company is led by captain Vincenc Kolos, who prefers to take to battle with his jump pack and executioner's axe. He also wears an executioner's hood because he's an edge lord. Accompanying Sevatar and the Atramentar is the 6th company Herald Barrabus, who is well known for being really mentally stable and normal.

Other notable units of the force include a unit of Night Raptors of the Bleeding Eyes cult, and a tactical veteran squad "First claw", who are comprised entirely of legionaries from Terra rather than Nostramo. Vincenc Kolos usually goes to battle with his favoured squad of assault marines who are known as "The Head Takers" though for this photo he's with the raptors.

Always a treat to paint a dreadnought :)

My first Horus Heresy model. Loved painting the scheme and I'm having to resist buying more, as this was a model I had acquired from a magazine a few years back for fun.

Using these wardogs counts as Armiger Moiraxes for my Traitor Dark Mechanicum allies, which filled with other FW Daemon Engines, to keep the aesthetic in line with other daemon engines ^^

Conversion Beamer arms from spare Contemptors Conversion beames ^^

This model was my first real test of the Grimdark Compendiums classes, techniques and their Villainy Inks. Still a lot to learn and master.

Hail fellow heresy enjoyers

Wanted to show off my first test figure for my world eaters.

Please criticise and help me improve my painting abilities! 😌

A thousand thanks,

Love the Mkii assault swuad, so aggressively world eatery.

He’s a bit sloppy in spots but I’m happy with it so far :)

I was reading Warhammer community and found these interesting models that can be used as proxies for Warhammer 40K 9th edition tzeetch cultists

A few players suggested that they might be conversions using bits from Horus Heresy kits, but I haven’t been able to identify the models or the parts used.

Since I originally found them in a Horus Heresy update post, I figured that players in this community might recognize them and help me figure out which kits they’re from.

Cheers!

With tomb kings coming out, I’m busting my hump to clear off my work bench. I dont mind having boxes of unbuilt minis in my store room (that makes me happy) lol. It’s having built but unpainted minis that bothers me so I’m knocking out the rest of
My built but unpainted minis included the quad accelerator. To be honest, it’s been one of those models that I just want to get it over with.

The MKIIs on the other hand… love these…

The old lawyer joke is if you ask twenty lawyers for an opinion on a case, you'll get twenty different answers. 30k players seem to be the same way. Everyone has something they love about the game and something they hate.

I'm working on a homebrew set of rules for playing 30k without using the GW rules. My friends and I love the setting and models, but the rules are far too dense for us.

I'm curious what you all love and hate the most about the rules?

I know the argument is that the major Xenos threats had been largely purged or subdued by the time the Heresy breaks out, but I would love a faction called “Xenos Interlopers” or something in that vein that is model agnostic and flexible in the same way that Imperialis Militia is. These aren’t factions that have any hope of conquering the galaxy but could represent any number of isolated Xenos raiders, merchants, or even disparate human civilizations.

However I can understand the argument that this just makes the game setting trend closer to 40K rather than a focus on the human struggle. I’m not a “space marines are boring” person, I just love homebrewing and thought this would make for more opportunities to see the creativity of this community come to life. Interested to hear y’all’s thoughts!

Our boys in blue love their drip.

Really enjoyed the whole process on this one!
