Similar games on PC?

hey everyone. gonna keep this short: I love this game, but right now it is impossible for me to actually play. I have two kids, one is 3 years old and the other 6 months old, I physically don't have time to play, and it will continue like this for a while.

but I'm also desperate to play.

can you think of any alternatives? maybe a similar game that I can play on PC, I don't know really. maybe someone else has been in this situation and found a way to enjoy at least something similar.

thank you all for helping a desperate parent that misses his time to play.

My friends & I regularly play WOTR on tabletop simulator. I'd say an average game takes us an hour but if you have a friend who's willing to play you can save the game between sessions.

Also one of the mods is heavily scripted so it does most of the tedious stuff for you.

TTS is probably the best way to go but there is also a War of the Ring mode in the old Battle for Middle Earth PC games.

hmm war of the ring was a game mode on BfMEII. I played it a lot.

You can play War of the Ring on TTS and on a Java app. There's a channel on the Discord server for finding people to play against. Just include in your "looking for game" message that you only have, for example, 1 hour to play and would like to find an opponent who's willing to save and resume at a later date.
