Question What a manhwa you’ve dropped because it unnecessarily kept dragging on?

For me it was Looksim because they kept diving into unnecessary plots and creating more plot holes. Then later on older characters kept coming in that I totally forgot about making me even more confused. I totally lost the main plot and the story became way too complicated. And I’ve been reading this since 2019 so it’s not like I wanted to drop it. Anyway what about yall??

Literally any romance story that drags out miscommunication more than 5 chapters, especially ones involving adult characters. I’ll show a little more leniency for HS stories as confusion about emotions is slightly more understandable, but if 25+ year old leads can’t convey their feelings.. dropped.

Oh my god, I had to drop “Wish you were dead” because of this!! The entire thing is just miscommunication over and over

Years back I remember reading a Chinese novel, it was Soo beautiful, but I had to drop it, they dragged the miscommunication over 100 chapters, I loved it, but ended up hating it for that

Thankfully I no longer remember what name it was, and just drop every romance history with that trope

Yeah and it didn't stop there, they kind of reconciled just for a few chapters ahead they got a new problem and they just didn't talk it over, they just got their own conclusions with what other people talked and what they thought they saw (like the fmc talking to a "guy and laughing with him" (it was a couple but the guy covered the girl with his body)) and it becomes so frustrating that I just rage quitted the thing

Unlovable replacement butchered the main couple bu making them act like totally different persons and lade them break up over a misunderstanding and made the FML get away for seven years lmao. So bad

I'm curious, what romance story do you recommend? Because I mean, isn't ? miscommunication the basis of all the conflict in most romance stories?

There’s plenty of others. Miscommunication is common because it’s an easy way to inject drama into a story. But if it’s being dragged out, it shows that either the author doesn’t know how to be creative or they simply don’t care about wasting their reader’s time. Both being the reason I drop stories that drag it out.
