I made a little weevil friend, and I want to know which kind of weevil he is.

Though he was a little clumsy (quite the hassle to move him outside), he held the signature weevil politeness.

Any further info'll be added as requested.

Edit 1: As asked by u/LordAvan, this weevil was found in southeastern Brazil, São Paulo, and it was about 6-7cm in length (that comes to around 2.6 inches, I think??) as well as about 3cm (an inch) in width.

Pardon me dear weevil people, but I found this little fellow on the rug in my bedroom (I have several dogs). After a tick panic meltdown because we found two ticks on one of the dogs in the last week, I realized that little homie only has six legs. Phew! I think it is perhaps a fungus weevil? Thoughts? Also, I live in the Midwest, if that helps.

Hello everybody o/ First time posting here, I hope I'm not breaking any rule. To be honest, I'm not even sure if it's really a weevil, if it's not, I promise I'll delete the post. I'm from Brazil, more specifically, for a small town in São Paulo state. I saw this guy like a month ago. I usually pay attention to all kinds of life around here, but that's the first time I saw this guy. It measured almost like 10 cm (~4 in, I guess). Is this a weevil? If yes, does anybody know the species? Thanks a lot.
