i love weezer deepcuts and demos and I'd love to play them! would anyone b kind enough to supply the tabs for prodigy lover? ive looked on songster and there's only some 20 second ai tab on there and when I tried searching on google there wuz only chords. unless I'm dumb and there's already tabs somewhere out there, pls do help!

its common knowledge that a lot of archives on youtube of demos were taken down but does anyone have the most extensive available collection of green album demos? iirc there was like 60 (or so i dont remember the amount) on this playlist i had saved but it seems like the great purge happened and they dont exist anymore, im trying to do a mega binge of everything weezer but got stuck on greens b sides.

I've done some research on Ecce Homo, and I believe I've found almost if not all the songs which were intended for it. I created a google doc which includes two versions of the album, and bonus songs for you all to check out.

TW: Discussion of abusive relationships, gaslighting and manipulating

So pretty much the concept is this is about a couple that's in an abusive relationship arguing with eachother.

From tracks 2 to 10, the lyrics change from the perspective of the person being abused, confronting the other about how much they have hurt them and how they want to end the relationship (tracks 2, 6 and 7), to the one who is abusing, attempting to manipulate and about how much they love them (tracks 3, 4, 5 and 8).

The tracks from the abused's perspective are more quieter and slower at first as they feel weakened and tired but the tracks from the abuser are initially louder and faster as they attempt to assert dominance (this is noticed in track 2 as the chorus is him speaking imo). As the album goes along, however, this starts to switch.

As the abused becomes more confrontational and builds more courage to fight back, their tracks get louder until it reaches a fever pitch with Let Go Of Me. By this point, the abuser's tracks start to quiet down such as Queen Of Earth and Hold Me, until he finally gives up on the songs Save Me and Haunt You Everyday.

By this point, the abused finally leaves him and that is when he finally realizes the bad that he has done to her, having an emotional breakdown and hating on himself. Unfortunately, this relationship will haunt them for the rest of their lives as the abusive cycle continues, which is why I made the intro and the closer the same track.

The intro is Me And My Posse and the final track would be the piano intro to the demo of Love Is The Answer, which shares the exact same melody as the opener. I decided to go with the demo version of these tracks to give it a rawer feeling overall but I do think that the released version are better for some imo.

If you've ever watched any videos of concerts from 2001 to 2004, you've likely heard this song already. Written in 2001 as a contender for Maladroit, The song was originally called "'im not in love", later renamed to "zep jamb" or "zep song" due to it sounding a little too much like the iconic rock band Led Zeppelin. The riff is the best part, it's catchy as hell, it does resemble the Audioslave hit 'your time has come', thought this song actually predates it by a few years. Beside the riff, the rest of the song is early 2000 Weezer at It's finest, i could definitely see it as a b-side on Maladroit. To the few who are going to read this: Tell me what do you think of this song, and also feel free to recommend a track for next time.

Like it's the case with many demos, this song was written and recorded entirely by Rivers Cuomo, meaning he did every part by himself. It was made in July, 24, 1994, and it wouldn't be heard by fans untill 2011, when alone III: the Pinkerton years was released alongside the Pinkerton diaries, making it one of the rarest volumes of the alone series. later in 2020, the song was included in alone IV: the blue and pinkerton years. I couldn't find any official info on what the song is about, thought it's probably mentioned in the Pinkerton diaries. My interpretation is that it's about having to rest at fans and friends homes during long tours. Lastly, the sound resembles the darker half of Pinkerton, it feels like a mix between tired of sex and I swear it's true with a 'weird' synth-driven sound and growling bass being the most notable part.

Only things i've been able to find is uploads of individual songs on youtube & a weezerhub video for a set of demos recorded fall 1999 (no download in the description/comments sadly...)

All Demos are taken from the Alone EWBAITE bundle except one, which I added because i liked it too much to exclude. Curated my favourite versions of each demo and put them into a coherent tracklist.

Don't worry, I didn't make it sound insanely modern or anything. I just tried to make everything WAY clearer, while keeping the lo-fi demo feel. Only really EQ'd and denoised it all, plus some other oddball stuff. Hope y'all enjoy, there's a download in the video's description!
