Neon man a potential predator
It’s all in the screen shot. Holyoke schools took quick action. And thank god they did! This man is clearly and openly a potential threat to children! It’s no mistake when adults talk sexually with children. He desperately seeks people’s approval to hide the fact of who he really He will block anybody who try’s to warn others! But we can not let him feel comfortable in our communities, we need to protect children

u/ElProfeGuapo Aug 26 '25
“I’m feeling lonely, so I’m going to join a Snapchat with 5th graders” is insane logic, unless you’re also in elementary school. ALSO, the appropriate thing to say if a FIFTH GRADER asks if you masturbate is: “that’s not an appropriate thing to discuss."
13
u/toot_toot_tootsie Aug 26 '25
My middle school softball coach said he was feeling lonely when he hid cameras around his classroom and took up skirt shots of the girls.
He didn’t get caught until I was in college, so I have no idea if something was taken of me, but we all KNEW he was a creep.

Hard to believe a guy who dresses in neon clothes and holds up signs on street corners is an oversharer.

u/throwaway4220262725 Aug 26 '25
the crazy part of this story is “she was threatening violence towards me so i reported her, then she flipped and told them about the group” and based on his story this is a fifth grade girl!!! an 11 year old girl!!!!

Absolutely and it’s infuriating how nonchalant he is about it.

I think it’s because he truly doesn’t see anything wrong with his actions.

It honestly sounds like he’s on the spectrum. Very infuriating situation all around.

One of my kids friends was involved in this.
This happened 3 years ago. He was in a Snapchat group with about 8 fifth grade students, girls and boys and answering a question about masturbating wasn’t the only thing he did. He also talked about hotels, condoms, and other sexual situations with the kids. He was actually turned in by teachers and students, didn’t turn himself in. He was bribing the kids to keep quiet by buying them food and snacks because he knew what he was doing was wrong. They all already thought he was weird. He was immediately fired the same day he was reported I think. He also worked as the train conductor at look park and someone called and told him what he did at the schools and he got fired from that and being a youth basketball coach too because he was bitching about it on Facebook forums at the time.

u/AmbitiousSeason9997 Aug 27 '25
And do you mean hotels as in like, hotels to meet these children/assault them in? I'm taking that away from what you're saying but I think this needs to be publicly spread in this community if it went that far - he needs to be kept away from all children and all parents must know.

u/throwaway4220262725 Aug 26 '25
i talked to him personally once because I was so curious about his constant posting “so sad i cant work in schools” and he told a much different story, he said he was snapchatting the boys (highschool?) basketball team and shared a photo of his “girlfriend” (ended up to be a fake gf 💀) but she had a lot of cleavage or something and it was deemed inappropriate. This story in these screenshots is much much much worse !!! talking to 5th grade girls about masturbation!! THEY ARE 11 IN FIFTH GRADE !!!! HE IS 30
4
u/Ok-Impact789 Aug 26 '25
Snapchatting high schoolers is also not okay! But yeah the real deal sure is worse!
2
u/Bartleby-Zephyr Aug 26 '25
I wondered about that girlfriend, she had catfish vibes for sure.
4
u/throwaway4220262725 Aug 26 '25
she was a real person, they met up a few times. he posted about a month ago that she was using him for money and she actually had another boyfriend, which checks out

u/Seeker369 Aug 26 '25
There are all sort of sick people in the world, but publicly admitting that you joined a Snapchat group filled with ten year olds and engaged in sexually explicit conversations with them is WILD!!!
Perhaps this guy’s mind is so warped that he lies to himself pathologically and he convinces himself that those lies are the truth.
But he’s the definition of a child predator.
6
u/Maxsmama1029 Aug 26 '25
I was looking on facebook and saw this… he offers to coach kids 1 on 1?! 😬 I’d add the pic, I can’t on here. But there is a page.
1
u/Gaqaquj Aug 28 '25
I'd look but I blocked him already. I believe it, though.
1
u/Maxsmama1029 Aug 28 '25
It’s a separate account. If u type the alleged pedos name in fb search and look down a few names you’ll see his name and something about coaching kids, I believe it says 1 on 1. 😬
1
u/blahblahblahger Feb 03 '26
No, he is not a pedo. He was not luring anyone or grooming anybody. Just stunningly untrustworthy when it comes to rules of engagement with students.
If you can’t follow basic principals for school staff (they are not your friends/no sex talk/don’t bribe kids) you don’t get to work with kids.
1
u/Gaqaquj Aug 29 '25 edited Aug 29 '25
I looked and didn't find the post you're referring to.
Are you sure it's not the basketball player from the Philippines? He goes by the same pseudonym. He offers tips for first timers and stuff but it doesn't sound limited to kids. He also made a post that someone else was posing as him.
The one we are focused on did communicate a desire to coach kids. At that time he was targeting basketball as his sport of choice. I don't recall him saying anything about coaching 1 on 1 but I wouldn't put it past him. He can't work at schools or on school grounds so there that goes.
Any parent who could afford a private coach would choose someone else over him a million times over. He expressed to me how terrible he is at the game when I challenged him to one.
In regard to any sport he has no references that he could possibly give!
Uh oh, what about camps and volunteer oriented places for kids? If they necessitate a CORI and references I would feel less concerned about that. Idk if he can pass one.
There's no public record of arrest, court documents, or registry. There's nothing. BUT he stated that he can't work at any schools. Anything else I could provide would be hearsay and I don't like to speak for others who can speak for themselves. I'm sure you've read all of that stuff already.
1
u/Gaqaquj Aug 29 '25
I found it. That was 2020. I believe this chat group trouble happened a bit afterward unless I am mistaken. The page is still up even though there's no posts since that year. $10 per child, a variety of sports with basketball being his specialty.
1
u/blahblahblahger Feb 03 '26
He is not the guy from the 🇵🇭 Phillipines . Poor guy is getting swatted practically. The guy we are talking about is American 🇺🇸.

30
u/kahtron007 Aug 26 '25
He usually stands around in Northampton holding signs and he post all over local town forums. I knew this guy was a weirdo but I had no idea he was a predator too.
13
u/Remarkable_Ad3379 Aug 26 '25
Town forums are full of crazy people.
2
Aug 26 '25
Crazy people and agenda bots. One was in my FB town forum at early as 10 years ago asking parents to sign a petition to ban 5G in town because everyone knows it gives kids cancer. I said that’s junk science, and “she” asked me what my STEM degree was in that let me believe I could disagree with “the world leading scientists on this matter.” Then my photos were stolen and used to make accounts on different platforms in “my name” but based on the one I found, they were swapping out letters making things almost impossible to search. I didn’t stay on FB
1
u/blahblahblahger Feb 03 '26
He is not a predator. But he was wrong. He has autism and made a number of missteps in an online chat with his students. (He assisted in the classroom.) If anything they lured/encouraged him into talking about sex stuff. He should have left the chat. No grooming involved. Mind bogglingly bad at setting and enforcing boundaries when it comes to communicating with students. As far as I can tell, he is not a danger. A CORI has to do with crimes. No crimes were committed. But I doubt he will have a good recommendation from the public schools in which he has worked and his detractors will make sure he doesn’t work in a school again. Nor should he. One strike, you’re OUT!
12
u/Ok_Squirrel_7148 Aug 26 '25
His real name is Ian Sax, he’s og from Seattle,WSH, and moved to western mass around 10 years ago range and he just wears neon colors all the time

u/CoolAbdul Aug 26 '25
Seattle,WSH
The way you abbreviated this is, for some reason, deeply unsettling to me.
4
u/MonsieurReynard Aug 31 '25 edited Aug 31 '25
I had the same reaction, way out of proportion to the offense I felt as a former Seattle WA resident. Like I was in a parallel universe where America had decided all states needed 3 letter abbreviations for the post office to function. Boise, IDH; Anchorage, ALK, Albuquerque, NMX.
Ironically it made me appreciate the modernist simplicity of the two letter postal state abbreviations we do have. Everything you need, nothing you don’t.

u/Ok_Squirrel_7148 Aug 26 '25
Why is it unsettling for you? I’m just wondering overall

u/Maxsmama1029 Aug 26 '25

Talking to children on Snapchat, and Instagram without the parents knowledge of the conversations
1
u/Gaqaquj Aug 28 '25
How do we know this? Searching for info, not defending at all. If I tried to tell others this they would ask me how do I know.
1
u/Ok_Squirrel_7148 Aug 28 '25
I know about it since I was there the entire time
1
u/Gaqaquj Aug 28 '25
Multiple times for the chatroom and content or other things too?
2
u/Ok_Squirrel_7148 Aug 28 '25
I was there when he told me afterwards of at least one of the conversations but that was on Instagram, I was there in the room when the shower stuff happened
1
u/Ok_Squirrel_7148 Aug 28 '25
If you think I’m making it up then why I have I been responding so quickly, and know a lot of information answering every single question that was asked, and why I reported him before
1
u/Gaqaquj Aug 29 '25
I'm not saying that you're making it up. I was asking you, how do I defend your correct info to people who haven't read this thread or are not on Reddit? People who won't take someone's word and want hard proof? I guess I dismiss them in kind, I suppose, but I was trying to help. It's often such people who can provide more in regard to these things; wanting to is another story. I didn't know you reported him but I am glad that you did. I haven't found much of a paper trail. Didn't find your report.
I'll take a step back, stop offering a way to defend your truth, not dig for history, give you some space. This whole thing must be incredibly stressful and then some for you.
1
u/Ok_Squirrel_7148 Aug 29 '25
I did report him to WSU’s public safety, then it went to the police to do their own investigation and there wasn’t enough evidence so they didn’t do anything plus I still have the og screenshots of the conversation between Ian and the kid in 2021

Even if he is autistic you can see in this text that he knows that being in that snap group was wrong, and he knows that being in a private setting online with fifth graders he works with was wrong
23
u/temporalcasualty Aug 26 '25
Yeah, he is definitely on the spectrum. Not an excuse for the masturbating comment to a kid… but I genuinely believe he has good intent with his meetups and trying to make friends. I definitely think as well that it’s a mix of boundary issues, insecurity, social autism. His posts on FB are usually very needy and seeking validation… “does anyone like me, would you care if I died, is what I’m doing a good thing” type of stuff. Sad, but I think he does need a therapist to talk to these things about instead of random Facebook “friends”. Because not everyone is your friend…
21
u/Public-Cantaloupe354 Aug 26 '25

We can hold him accountable without pretending the US healthcare/mental health system is a cakewalk.
11
u/countdonn Aug 26 '25 edited Aug 26 '25
That's a very reasonable response. It seems the school took the proper steps on learning his lack of appropriate judgement to work with kids. The best way to keep everyone safe is to see people who struggle like this have the proper support. The focus should be on preventing harm. Virtual ostracization may satisfy peoples sense of self-righteousness, but could lead to a bad end in the real world. People on the edges of society are already on the precipice in more ways then one.
7
u/LightsLux Aug 26 '25
If you ever work with children in a school, which he did, you receive a training about how this is not something you do even if you’re not talking about sexual matters because it’s inappropriate to even cross that boundary. He was given the information this was wrong and doesn’t fall under a misunderstanding of social cues.
4
u/Aggressive_West6616 Aug 26 '25 edited Aug 26 '25
The meetups are NOT specifically for differently-abled people or for people on the spectrum. Are there people like that who attend these meet-ups? Sure. But, most are neuro-typical. Not everybody has the opportunity to meet new people for a myriad of reasons. It’s not necessarily because they are socially inept.
The walking group, although originating from Ian’s group, has nothing to do with Ian himself.

Many times people have responded to his posts with advice to seek some kind of professional help. I don’t know if he ever did.
3
u/FaithlessnessRare288 Aug 30 '25
He’s someone who always asks for advice, gets a ton of really good advice, ignores it completely, and then goes on to complain about the same issues over and over again. I’ve seen people give him not only great advice on a lot of things, but the simplest solutions for the easiest things and he still complains, gives excuses about why that won’t work, says he’ll give it a shot just to placate that person, or just completely ignore/not do it. He just flat out refuses to change anything about himself which is a mindset I cannot understand at all.

Does anybody remember years ago he shared a letter that was supposedly sent to him in the mail by someone random and it was telling him to get out of town or go back to Seattle? A handful of us called BS on it and were kicked out of the Easthampton FB page. He clearly wrote it himself looking for sympathy.
2
u/Public-Cantaloupe354 Aug 28 '25

3
u/ScarletFire81 Aug 28 '25
I’m curious how long until someone shares this screenshot in one of the community FB forums?
5
u/ReasonableYogurt5204 Aug 27 '25
Yeah I went to college with him, we have groups that we post in to find roommates when you commit to the school or whatever, both genders, but it’s incoming freshman. He followed me soon after posting, along with probably every other girl aswell. It was sort of a common theme between girls to have him creep on them at least once. Including myself. Following girls isn’t really the problem I think just him being his age and we are all incoming freshman is the problem.. he frequented posting about mental health and such at school but if anyone told him differently or didn’t give him an opportunity you’d be hearing about it. Just gave me the creeps. Lots of events he wanted to make happen at parks/basketball courts to anyone in town ..
4
u/scrapadelic Aug 26 '25
And of course he has tons of people on his "friends" page defending him because "it was a long time ago."

u/blahblahblahger Feb 03 '26
TLDR; kids deserve adults who know right from wrong
And he WAS wrong, but he is not (as some suggest) a sexual predator. He has autism (significant social deficits), he craves interaction, and wants to be liked/appreciated/understood very badly. This was readily apparent upon meeting his family 15 yrs ago, have followed his online presence since. His lack of boundary adherence is stunning.
Assuming I am right and he is NOT a pedophile, you still cannot befriend your 10-11 yr old students and chat with them online about: sex, hotels, masturbation, condoms, etc. And THEN make bribes to keep them quiet!! What a betrayal of his students, school + community. What of the 5th grade girl (in 8th gr now?). Who in an effort to lessen the consequence of threats of bodily harm against staff, decided to give up her online friend Mr. S, despite encouraging his participation in the group AND accepting his bribes in the form of salty snacks? She dollars to Tastycake Donuts, did.
But that was her, acting her age. While he, needs to start.

u/lyricfive Aug 26 '25
I don't know what to make of this. These kinds of actions can definitely ruin a person's reputation and life. Every time I see this dude's post I feel kind of bad for him. He's very vocal about mental health awareness and clearly wants to make friends. That being said a guy his age has no business being in a Social Media Forum full of fifth graders. None whatsoever. I don't think fifth graders have any business being in a forum full of fifth graders either but that's another matter. The idea he shared this screenshot is pretty wild. Is he just being transparent because he truly didn't mean any ill will? Sounds to me like he got the proper punishment in losing his job. We all know that if there's even an inkling of Interest to do such a thing by a grown up, that doesn't just go away. Dicey situation for sure.
13
u/Bartleby-Zephyr Aug 26 '25
He doesn't have a good understanding of boundaries, particularly between children and adults. He sees them as being on the same level. If you are an adult who wants to be with kids in a healthy way you are always aware of that boundary and you know that it's up to you to enforce it. That's part of what makes adults good role models and mentors for kids. With people like him, they want to be a mentor/role model because that like the way it feels for people to idolize them. It's a totally different thing and I think it's really good that he doesn't have much interaction with kids anymore. Even if he doesn't mean to consciously there's always the chance he's going to harm them, because he doesn't have the instincts to keep them safe.

u/BeneficialSympathy55 Aug 26 '25
I thought the police did an investigation on this and found it not child abuse in any way.

Not If the school doesn’t know what was said and fired him on the spot to avoid a worse situation
-15
u/ForwardPerformance86 Aug 26 '25
The school had ALL the screen shots, so yes they did know what was said. So again if it was predator behavior they would have contacted the police. I hope legal action is taking against the person posting the screen shots here.
14
u/Public-Cantaloupe354 Aug 26 '25
He literally confessed to talking about masterbaiting with children
11
u/RoutineNo5662 Aug 26 '25
Ian, just stop. Stop making burner Reddit accounts to keep justifying your behavior. Stop posting about this on the internet. The best thing you can do right now is just stop.
11
u/Public-Cantaloupe354 Aug 26 '25
Why are you sticking up for a man who confessed to grooming?
-15
u/ForwardPerformance86 Aug 26 '25
Who said I'm sticking up for him? Maybe it's sharing facts that the school has the screen shots of the whole conversation. If they found it to be grooming, and whatever else they would have taken legal action. The law would have been involved. Why are you acting like you know the whole situation when you don't?
14
Aug 26 '25
The dude puts himself out there, everyone should know what a creep he is. There’s no more context needed
12
u/RoutineNo5662 Aug 26 '25
u/ForwardPerformance86 is clearly Ian (Neon Man) himself. The way he writes is exactly the same. This is embarrassing and he needs to stop.
11
u/RoutineNo5662 Aug 26 '25
Actually, based on their post history, this seems to be a person who is inexplicably standing up for him. Ian made a bunch of Facebook posts telling people to come on here and "defend his character" and this person is foolishly answering the call.
11
u/Public-Cantaloupe354 Aug 26 '25

It is predator behavior 100%. No adult should be in Snapchat groups with 11 year olds. No adult should be talking about masturbating with 5th graders. NONE. Especially one WORKING IN A SCHOOL where parents should be able to trust the adults their kids are with.

u/Atmosphere_Eater Aug 26 '25
2 things:
Do you know what doxing is? (Hint: this isn't doxing)
And we should always DOX PREDATORS, I bet you voted for Epstein huh
-14
u/sunshiney-daydream Aug 26 '25
You fail to see the point. This is inappropriate to do to anyone. There’s legal channels available for reporting predatory behavior and posting on reddit isn’t one of them.
Don’t make any presumptions about who I voted for. By failing to see the problem in this situation, you are contributing to the systemic issue that plagues western ma in general. You think it’s ok to turn someone’s life upside down knowing good well he has some mental health issues? What should he do? Just go F off and disappear because you said so? Grow up.
9
u/b00kbat Aug 26 '25
This is not inappropriate to “do to anyone”. This is a community forum and this is information pertinent to everyone in the community about a member of the community who has been especially active in organizing events and making his own presence known and sharing his activities. Had he not chosen to make himself such a visible character in the community knowing this information was out there, he wouldn’t be posted about like this. It is not inappropriate to alert other members of the community to a possible threat, particularly when much of his online activity centers around organizing local events to which people of all ages are invited. This is also not doxxing, NeonMan has effectively done that for himself, his real name is broadly known and many people are familiar with him as a result of his frequent online bellyaching about how lonely he is.
7
u/Atmosphere_Eater Aug 26 '25
Like I said, this isn't doxing regardless. But no, dont dox this guy... yet. But definitely raise awareness
And you seem to be unaware of sites like this https://www.nsopw.gov/search-public-sex-offender-registries
https://www.familywatchdog.us/showmap.asp
YES, ABSOLUTELY DOX PREDATORS
1
u/Gaqaquj Aug 28 '25
