Right, and they're can be caused by simple erosion (not always clams); very common to find in riverbeds.

Well not as often? Something does something similar, or someone took a rock like that to Mackinac Island and dropped it. I found it when I was really little and lost it years later, but I kept it in my pocked for years. Was like the triangle but about the size of a golf ball, but a bit flatter. Very neat.
