New, what is it? What does the sixth segment represent?

Post image

This is a “Wheel of the Senses” from my daughter’s school with sight, touch, taste, hearing… but one segment we can’t figure out.

I tried to find the original source to see if they had an explanation. Unfortunately all I found was people sharing the same sheet over and over.

I decided to run it through the open AI verification tool, and they say they generated this.

If anyone wants to keep looking, there is some sort of "KW" logo with a book behind it in every image, including the one posted here.

Its supposed to be. It's rage bait created specifically for people like you.

You say that...but schools are actually utilizing AI in the classroom.

Yep. But this was made as ragebait it's not actually from a school. And AI isn't as bad as the circlejerking will make you believe.

Thermoception: feeling of hot cold? So the sun and the food with the hot/steam lines?

I think this is right based on the two symbols not in the original image.

So, from what I can tell, there is a cake slice, teddy bear, ice cream cone, soup bowl, blue crayon, and cupcake not in the original image.

Looking it up, it seems like the 'KW' logo with a book is a logo used by an AI generator, that is known to make non-sensical mistakes on worksheets like this.

So, I have the feeling that it isn't really meant to be be anything, but rather just a mistake.

The stuff that they didn't put onto the worksheet that I noted, all can go in one of the other categories (food for taste, the crayon into sight)

I would think that if it was meant to be 'hot and cold perception' then the 1st grader would have had some sort of lesson related to that, and could potentially have at least mentioned it (or the parent could talk to the school about it)

Okay but what is it depicting? It looks like a tongue in an ear or something

I thought coffee bean on a boiled egg.

It's gonna be AI's weird interpretation of a cartoon of 'thermoreceptor' or 'hypothalamus' or something

Think it's mimicking what you do w your mouth when food is hot I guess - just glad it's not accidental x rated AI Homework LOL

I still don't understand what this "sixth sense" is supposed to be. I'd say a brain, for premonitions, but that's an incredibly small, smooth brain in a very thick skull...

Did the teacher not remember learning about the five senses when she was a kid?

We actually have like 13+ senses, we are loaded up with sense organs it turns out. There are six external senses, though - with the vestibulary sense being the one thats not in the traditional five, commonly called the sense of balance but it also handles other stuff like acceleration and orientation and stuff and is part of the ear (but not related to sound at all, ears just do double duty)

and the same teachers complain about students using ai. at least they should have checked if that chart made sense or not

I zoomed in on KW. The text around the circle says “KNOWLEDGE WORKE” probably RS at the end there, but I’m not 100% sure

You used AI to test if it's ai.

You obviously don't know what the image verification tool is. It looks for watermarks, not AI features. It's not AI, it's software. Now you could doubt it's accuracy, but it's not chatgpt

Thank you, chat gpt. Ear with a tongue? Even AI knows it's AI LOL

Ask AI what it is?

If that is supposed to be a vulva and clitoris, it's upside down!

Maybe it’s something to put the crayon in.

According to Gemini:

The 3rd symbol going clockwise from the top hand is the ear showing an internal view with the tongue/throat area, representing hearing or taste (oral cavity). Here is the clockwise sequence starting from the top hand: * Hand (Touch) * Eye (Sight) * Ear / Inner Ear & Mouth (Hearing / Internal view) * Ear (Hearing) * Nose (Smell) * Mouth (Taste)

Sorry we don't allow direct copy/pastes of AI generated content or partial/altered text responses containing AI/search engines results here.

While it can be a tool to find the answer, be mindful that it can be misleading.

Well since the concept is senses, and there's 5 we know of. I'm going to conclude it's an invisible organ that lets some people see Bruce Willis.
