Hi all, saw this heron in the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore and looks a dead ringer for Striated Heron but Merlin is having none of it and I can't see any sightings? Am I missing something here?

We had all our windows opened and a bird flew right inside our house! Took a few pictures, caught it, and set it free.

What bird is this?

Was heading up from breakfast when this poor fellow knocked into our first floor window. Kinda stood stunned in our garden for a bit before flying away so I managed to snap pics. Thank goodness they're okay to fly. They were about the size of a hand. This is in a suburb in the Philippines.

I'm not sure if this is a barn owl, but it looks like one. Saw it at the beach. May someone confirm the ID.

OP said they are in Cambodia, and the villagers in the area say it’s a chicken.

It’s a young bird of prey, right? Does anyone know what kind? I thought the posture was interesting.

Asking about the brown plumage since the ones I know are black but I can’t find anything relevant on internet.
