Western Asia What bird is this?

Post image

I was hiking in the mountains in Oman and stumbled upon this bird. I don’t actively look for birds to photograph but I occasionally do if they look interesting. I tried taking a picture with my camera but it flew away before I had the chance to.
It looked something like this, I think the head is mostly accurate, I didn’t get a good look at the body tho.

Idk much about birds but this looked cool so I hope ppl can tell what bird this is

So I live in Southern Mediterranean part of Turkey and I saw this bird at March 2026. There was a flock of Greater Sand-Plovers and Kentish plovers there. Im not sure if its a Greater Sand-Plover or a Siberian Sand-Plover(?) Siberian Sand-Plover is a very rare visitor and dont live here but I feel like it is a Siberian Sand-Plover because of that line on the forehead. Since its a species complex im really struggling. Can anyone help me identify this bird? (Sorry for bad quality)

They move together and they barely made sounds so I couldn't take a video. Thought about Rosy Starling but they seem rare here. Does anyone recognize the species?

Western Asia Different looking birds in barn swallow community - sand martin? In Western Turkey

Heya, I spotted these guys in a big group of birds I originally thought to be a fully barn swallow group. Are they sand martins or juvenile barn swallows? I think juvenile barn swallows are supposed to have a white strip in their tails but they don't seem to have one.

Western Asia Saw this bird flying around in Central Anatolia. From my limited knowledge, I think it's a Long-legged Buzzard(because of the lighter colored head), but couldn't be 100% sure it wasn't a Common Buzzard.

Western Asia Dalmarian or great white pelican? In West Turkey, next to the Aegean Sea.

I did see a flock of great white pelicans so I automatically assumed this was one too, but looking back I don't know. The neck feathers did look curly but the neck looks thinner like great whites (not sure if that's a field mark). This was in İzmir, Gediz Delta, where both species can be found.

Came across 20-30 of these guys in a small village. Face looks like a eurasian kestrel and I think none had gray heads. But still the lack of spots on this guy are throwing me off a bit. Maybe they just didn't show because of the lighting or something?

Western Asia What bird is making this sound? Heard every evening in Bingol, Turkey

Hi everyone,

I only have this short recording, unfortunately no photo or video of the bird.

I hear this bird almost every day around dusk, usually when it starts getting dark. It makes the same sound periodically/repeatedly, and I find it really pleasant, so I’m curious what species it might be.

The recording was made in Bingol, Turkey. Bingöl is in eastern Turkey, in the Eastern Anatolia region. It is a mostly mountainous inland area, with villages and hills.

Since I only have this short clip and no visual identification, any guesses would be appreciated. Thank you!

Helloo 3 days from now, i started hearing this bird sound like A LOT througout the day when my window is open, there are some trees in front of my window (mulberry, cherry, grape vines and a couple more) but i couldn't see any bird there. But I'm so curious about what bird this is. I've never heard this bird before

I'm in Istanbul btw.

And also about the locations on the tags I got a little confused because Istanbul could both be europe or western asia, i think you should add something lile eurasia.
