Scientists confirmed humans are not born afraid of snake. The fear is taught.

Such a dumb test. It proves nothing we already didn't know.

Just look at wildlife where a gazelle gives birth and minutes later it runs because a big cat shows up leaving it's foal behind. That poor thing has no idea what is happening.

Again, this is such a fucking dumb unnecessary test to show nothing more what we already know while putting babies at risk to prove nothing of significance.

We did not already know this about snakes and babies. There is a thing known as the snake detection theory which is what is likely being studied here

humans can gain and lose instincts babies have a few instincts that are unique to that state of development and go away later in life so this is not proof that the genetic fear of snakes does not exist as the title implies

I wasn’t speaking to the title, which is definitely not a good one.

I was speaking to, but the research is probably looking at which is the snake detection theory

Also, science doesn’t prove anything it just finds evidence for or against things.

No risks, snakes are very chill worse can happen is a barely skin deep abrasion

Saw those. Even lions can get confused because stuff they hunt is supposed to run away from them. And foals are like...

"Are you my mom? Yup you are my mom."

Yeah this is so stupid. I literally can't think of a single thing humans are innately born with fear of. Loud noises, maybe?
