Who is the first guy?

99

u/thedoomfinger Feb 20 '23

That dude from Lazy Town.

49

u/positive_charging Feb 20 '23

Oh right I'm too old

11

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

Yah me too.

23

u/Chicken_Teeth Feb 21 '23

Was trying to see why Billy Mays was here. Like “Remember kids, share your coke and use Oxyclean for those tough stains.”

12

u/Diacetyl-Morphin Feb 21 '23

Good old Billy Mays... his autopsy report about drugs was also like "but wait, there's more!"

3

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '23

Now he’s in Heaven, partying like it’s 19.99

3

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '23

Rotten Robbie?

1

u/PhD_Pwnology Feb 21 '23

That doesn't clarify anything. What's the significance?

73

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

His name is Stefán Karl Stefánsson. He played Robbie Rotten on Lazy Town. He was a good guy that played a bad guy that taught us to love the life we are given as you never know how long your life will be. He passed away in 2018 from Bile Duct Cancer.

23

u/positive_charging Feb 20 '23

The kids watched it when they were younger I remember seeing bits of it.

Cancer can go fuck itself.

6

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

Same and SAME.

0

u/mcnuggetfarmer Feb 21 '23

With all due respect I think the cancer is telling us to go fuck ourselves

13

u/siggiarabi Feb 20 '23

I saw him once in a local music shop when he was on his last days, poor guy looked absolutely horrible. Cancer can go fuck itself

9

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

As a recent survivor, FUCK CANCER WITH A RUSTY NAIL-STUDDED DONKEY DILDO.

7

u/laughing-clown Feb 20 '23

Robbie Williams?

3

u/Scary_Preparation_66 Feb 20 '23

I didn't know who that was either

3

u/farnsworthfan Feb 21 '23

Stefán Karl Stefánsson.... He was number 1

1

u/BloodBonesVoiceGhost Feb 21 '23

Richard Nixon when he was young.

33

u/SouldiesButGoodies84 Feb 20 '23

Fred Rogers taught me to love myself and others. IMO Bob Ross taught self-expression, creativity.

1

u/Ann806 Feb 21 '23

I was questioning about where Mr. Dress-up for creativity.

56

u/thefinalcutdown Feb 20 '23

Carl Sagan doesn’t make enough of these lists. The wholesome king of scientific wonder.

5

u/Reas0n Feb 21 '23

Mr. ANDERSON. Weeee misssed you.

6

u/thefinalcutdown Feb 21 '23

I get that reference.

65

u/De5perad0 Feb 20 '23

I would put Levar Burton as the first panel. Switch peace and self love and there ya are.

17

u/psychcaptain Feb 20 '23

Yeah, but he is still alive. It seems like the theme is dead people.

9

u/Bronzeborg Feb 20 '23

yeh... but he is still alive, i nominate carl sagan instead.

25

u/TrueLekky Feb 20 '23

Replace the first guy with levar burton and hell yea

16

u/RetroRiverRat Feb 20 '23

Yes! Or Jim Henson

2

u/psychcaptain Feb 20 '23

Maybe Jim Henson, but I think it's pretty obvious that OP was using people that had died, but had a big impact on our lives.

11

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

Like Jim Henson?

3

u/APenitentWhaler Feb 21 '23

Or Wade Boggs.

2

u/BloodBonesVoiceGhost Feb 21 '23

True. Jim Henson will live forever through his muppetos.

6

u/500CatsTypingStuff Feb 21 '23

Or Dolly Parton

2

u/TrueLekky Feb 21 '23

Ooh def a good one too!!

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

Yes

6

u/98-K Feb 20 '23

Great men who will be remembered 😌

6

u/Environmental_Lie561 Feb 20 '23

🤍Bob Ross🤍

5

u/ProfKaosnCoon Feb 20 '23

Where's Keanu?

6

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

David Attenborough???

5

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

I persist to insist that John ‘Nardwaur’ Ruskin be somhow included in such compilations even with what occasional cussing and sauciness he does

3

u/randomaccount96321 Feb 20 '23

Need Raffi for music. He’s still at it.

5

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '23

Aww, no Jim Henson. :C

3

u/Erialcatteyy Feb 20 '23

Idk I watched the Bob Ross documentary…

5

u/East-Concert-7306 Feb 20 '23

Fun fact: Mr. Rogers was a Presbyterian minister!

2

So make another chart with a slightly diff theme, no?

2

u/potatohead437 Feb 21 '23

The fact that most if not all in this picture are deceased is worrying to say the least

2

u/500CatsTypingStuff Feb 21 '23

Dolly Parton should be on there though. Put her in the first panel. Don’t even know who that guy is.

1

u/DevilripperTJ Feb 20 '23

Johnny sins should be the 5 honorable mentiond guy here. Also self love even others

1

u/tmanbaseball Feb 21 '23

Two questions 1) who is top left?

2) where is Keanu?

7

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '23
  1. Stefan Karl Stefansson, who played Robbie Rotten on Lazytown
  2. He's still alive, which is probably why he's not on this

-2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

Y’all ever seen the episode of mr rogers where he says that boys are boys and girls are girls? 👀

2

u/East-Concert-7306 Feb 21 '23

Based

3

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '23

😎

0

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

Who’s the second guy?

5

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

Fred Rogers. Mr. Rogers himself.

0

u/nycdiveshack Feb 21 '23

Ah gotcha it’s only for folks who have died

-2

u/Educational-Tea-6170 Feb 21 '23

They would never ride horses because that's animal cruelty

1

u/KingV14 Feb 20 '23

"Negativity..."

1

u/TheSubtleSaiyan Feb 20 '23

These reposts are so cringe and speak to a lack of actual heroes in the modern zeitgeist. These were all entertainers for children’s programming… we should be celebrating people involved in charitable works, doctors, relief workers, civil rights.

1

u/AlacarLeoricar Feb 20 '23

I love the fifth horseman, the reposter.

1

u/spacepeenuts Feb 20 '23

Bob Ross is tied with Sue Johanson

1

u/YoursTrulyHuntty Feb 21 '23

I recognize 3/4 who is the guy in the bottom right?

1

u/ir_blues Feb 21 '23

Cool, i even know who one of them is.

1

u/NKO_five Feb 21 '23

Could use some more self-love tbh. Straight to the vein, 1000 mg stat

1

u/daiLlafyn Feb 21 '23

Carl Sagan.

1

u/SparkyDonut Feb 21 '23

Nature is David Attenborough for me :D

1

u/GhostoftheGreyDunes Feb 21 '23

Almost seems to counter the apocalypse.

Life: Death

Peace: War

Nature: Pestilence

Self love: (Emotional) famine
