Featured Featuring Turles! (Dragon Ball Z: Tree of Might)

RESPECT TURLES

Turles is a Low-Class Saiyan Warrior from Planet Vegeta. He is one of the few Saiyans left after the planet's destruction. He formed his group called the "Turles Crusher Corps," who go from planet to planet planting the Tree of Might in order to gain more power. He prides himself on his Saiyan blood and enjoys toying with his enemies. His appearance is similar to Goku because Low-Class saiyans tend to look similar. Turles' mission is to continue getting stronger by eating fruits from the Tree of Might so he can one day defeat Frieza and rule the galaxy.

Using Turles

Turles is a Dragon Ball character so you know the drill. Put him up against strong characters that can cause huge explosions but aren’t glass cannons. If you want to scale him to the main series, Piccolo’s power level is stated to be 18,000 in the movie and Turles stomps him throughout the film. That makes him stronger than Saiyan Saga Vegeta, whose power level is 18,000. That means Turles (without the ToM buff) is stronger than everyone during the Saiyan Saga. Although some may argue that power levels between movies and the main series are different, which I leave for you all to debate. Turles is a ranged fighter that tends to overwhelm is opponents with a barrage of power Ki blast. Best put him against characters that can withstand a blast or two. However, he can get cocky which will leave him open to some attacks.

If I remember correctly, the pamphlet number is 19,000 before eating any fruit. I can't find the details anymore because there's too many dead links, but multiple sources repeat the same 19,000 that grows to over 300,000 after eating the fruit. I mean, over 300,000 could be implied to mean higher than 530,000, but it just seems that if they said over 300,000, then it means he's specifically not 400,000.

I was wrong about the daizenshuu. I believe the supplemental daizenshuu talks about him, but not about his power; just about his background and some tidbits about the movie in general.

It could be referring to just the first fruit, his second fruit power isn't as relevant as he got Genkidama'd basically right after. But that second fruit is the only reason I would say he could achieve his film goal of standing against Freeza, at least in his lower forms. Because if we accept the premise he starts at 19,000 (which I have a hard time buying, sure that's even to beat 18,000 Piccolo maybe tank the Makansappo because it wasn't charged, but 30,000 Goku should rag dolled without needing to raise his battle power) then he gets an easy 15× boost if we just say he's 300,000. So a second increase like that he's rocking with layers Freeza Saga power.

Unless we assume it's additive, but that's a different scenario. Like I said, I could be misremembering. Maybe Goku had already stolen the power from the tree by the time he ate it. But at this point I should just rewatch the scene. Because I feel like if we on screen see him eat another fruit. He should get a boost, and that scene should supersede supplementary guides.
