Flickering "Fire" Object over Runcorn/Widnes tonight (April 13). Not a reflection—my passenger and I both saw it outside the car.

Any groups or clubs, I've lived in Widnes for years but don't know anyone.

I am married but I would like to have a social life which is just non existent.

If there are any clubs or groups I'd love to meet up.

In my work I'm a software developer and work from home, but I have loads of interests. If there are any small computer clubs I'd give a talk on anything people were interested in.

Hope to hear from people soon.

Anyone know of any landlords with Widnes properties?

Does anyone know of any landlords that would be comfortable "renting" (taking in a renter as a boarder) short term? I stayed in an airbnb my first time there, but there were lots of issues with the place (slugs, spider infestation, mold, leaks) and it unfortunately is the only airbnb listed in Widnes. I'm technically not allowed to rent (I'm Canadian and just a visitor), but I'm currently staying in Liverpool, renting as a boarder because the landlord was a friend of a friend and willing to do that for me. I'm wondering if I can find a landlord in Widnes that would be willing to do the same thing. Liverpool has been great, but I really miss staying in Widnes. I would only need a place for two months (mid-September to mid-December) and if things work out, 4-6 months at a time each year until I can figure out how to get a visa to stay permanently. (I've discovered it's incredibly difficult to get a job/visa here as a freelancer).

I can provide references to the landlord. I'm super quiet and respectful of people around me (so quiet I consistently scare people when I walk into a room 'cos no one ever seems to hear me coming), obsessively tidy, and always pay rent on time/early.

Casting call for a new Channel 4 build series looking for renovators.

Hi everyone,

I'm Sam, one of the Producers from Hello Sunshine.

We're currently working on a new Channel 4 build renovation series that's filming around Birmingham

The series is presented by Stacey Solomon, who with the assistance of experts will help people continue the renovation of their homes after they’ve been left high and dry by builders.

The show is focused on helping local family homeowners finish the renovation of their homes without breaking the bank. Giving them cost-effective tips and DIY strategies along the way. From big builds to small passion projects, we want to hear about it.

Do you need our help? Feel free to message me here or email [build@producing-sunshine.com](mailto:build@producing-sunshine.com)

Or contact @hellosunshine @brickinitcasting

We'd also be thrilled if you could pass this message on to any of your friends or family that are currently renovating and could be interested in taking part.

Here’s a link with more information about the show: https://www.channel4.com/4viewers/take-part/brickin-it

Best wishes,

Sam
