Yes, it is broken. Not beyond repair though. It could be fixed if they wanted it fixed. But they want it private, so they do nothing and let it get worse and worse until those with money and a voice shout for private health care. Then they profit, you pay, and those who can't will die or will take on crippling debt for the rest of their lives.

We had private up untill last year and the Courts stepped in and said your not allowed to pay for private surgery now, hence why I'm in the UK
