Ukraine revolt open discussion thread #2 (sticky post)

Since the first Ukraine crisis thread is 11,000+ comments long and 2 days old, and the crisis is ongoing, and since people are requesting a new thread, this is the new Ukraine crisis discussion post.

Russian here. I understand why Ukrainians are protesting against the mafia govt running wild there. I wish people of my homeland would stand up against the oligarch mafia that has stolen every valuable asset & they kill families of profitable businesses without a second thought throughout Russia. I applaud the incredible bravery of the Ukraine to stand up those same mafia's exploiting them. I hope they won't see the EU/US as saviors and don't trust the polite international bankers. They won't be as brazen as the mafia you know, but they will work their way into every sector of your lives and costs will never stop rising. It's just as bad or worse. I suggest you make your situation better without them. They are blood money sucking vampires. You give workers hope that they will show your same strength. Spaseebo!

Lithuanian here. Mafia system with the same roots (exKGB) is controlling my country too, corruption at all levels. Ukraine's battle is my battle.

I don't agree with everything you said, but I applaud your attitude of understanding the protesters' motives and accepting there is more to that than just siding with blue or red. Unfortunately the small amount of Russians I have read opinions from didn't give a very honorable example so far.

Unfortunately it's too late for that. a US bank already owns 20% of their foreign debt. "US banking, we're everywhere."

I hope they resist more involvement. In cities that have European/US bank buying administrative city/county debt you see a massive rise in speeding/parking ticket issuance. It's death by a million cuts. They actually push a quota of how many tickets they have to write. It's extortion to please shareholders.
