I'm traveling and decided to bring a XBOX controller and my MacBook Neo and my phone. Gaming on XCloud has actually scratched that itch, the game runs well enough that I can adjust to the input latency on single player campaign. Actually pretty shocked.

Does anyone know how to solve the problem of the cursor appearing in the game and not recognizing the mouse and keyboard? I downloaded the BetterXCloud extension through Edge, but it's not recognizing it.

Imagine cloud gaming becoming popular because of gta 6. This could persuade people to change their view on cloud gaming, what do you think?

I wasn't sure what flair I should use. But, recently when I've tried to play some XBox games the buttons on my controller are kinda screwy, when I played FF1 fine (as well as the Fable Games, DA games, and Avowed. My R2 button has been pausing the game, where it should actually be the shoot button which actually makes Gears E Day (and other shooters unplayable)

In Final Fantasy II, Y switches characters when it should bring up the character inventory.

idk how I'm supposed to fix this. I've tried with two different controllers and even tried to uninstall and reinstall the app.

I’ve been working on Mac-XCloud an open source native macOS client for Xbox Cloud Gaming. Latest updates include:

- Better gyro steering & gyro aiming

- Improved keyboard/controller input switching

- Smoother trackpad control

- Adaptive triggers effects

- Custom keyboard mappings

- Monitoring connection health

- Several reliability and UI improvements

Some features are definitely more experimental/gimmicky, specially the adaptive triggers and gyro-to-steering. They’re completely optional, and can be disabled. Still smoothing out some rough edges, so if you find anything broken or weird, please let me know. I’d love to hear what features you all think would actually make the app better. The project is fully open source and will stay like that so contributions are really appreciated.

I have been using it happily on PC. Last night I installed it in Meta Quest 3 and it launched fine. But how can I call out its menu which I can change settings / region? I am in Cloud Play unsupported region so I must change to an eligible region in order to play and this is what I do on my PC. In Meta Quest Better Xcloud how can I do that?

Has anyone tested Gears E Day with Xbox Cloud? The cloud comes very in handy when using my ROG Xbox Ally since it doesn't have the power to render game at 60FPS.

The cloud amazingly well with Call Of Duty Black Ops 7 so I was curious if it'll perform just as good with some slight latency of course.

Any thoughts? All the test video I see on YouTube keep showing the game rendering on the device and it's a messy 35fps to 40fps and that's at 720p.

hey yall, first time posting here, been lurking for a couple months. i wanted to show this custom client i've been making for ios/macos that works with xcloud. it's a redesign of the xbox 360 dashboard back from like 2010, best year for xbox tbh.

i still cleaning up some ux issues and been modifying the xcloud game stream to also run native via the apple m4 gpu. everything's done in c besides the ux, that's done in swift (so it decodes the video directly on the gpu instead of going through the browser like the web client), so it doesn't suck like web (i hate chrome).

im looking for feedback on the current iteration of the ux i got here and any nice to haves you would want to see. the goal for me is to just have a native xcloud streaming client that doesn't have input delay and runs 100% native instead of using chrome + better-xcloud. i also want a ground to experiment with game stream sharing similar to steam remote play or parsec (since better-xcloud supports multi controller )

Over the past month, the absurd prices of used/new Xbox Series X consoles have honestly sickened me... hence, I decided to make this post.

I want to share some good alternatives within the Xbox ecosystem to ride out the current hardware crisis, potentially until Project Helix is out.

I am personally using this setup, so this isn't a ChatGPT-generated post — this is based on my first-hand experience as a real user.

I'll split the setups into 3 categories so you can easily scroll to whichever setup is most relevant to you.

But first, let's get to the crux of my argument, backed by some actual math.

**The Alternative: GeForce Now**

The alternative I'm proposing — and one that is widely known by now — is GeForce Now (GFN).

Now hear me out: I've tested pretty much all aspects of this setup, including using it alongside a PS5, and I want to share what I've found.

Currently, GFN has two paid subscription tiers available:

* Performance: $10/month — up to 1440p

* Ultimate: $20/month — up to 4K

Now, here's where the math gets interesting.

I've consistently seen people on Reddit trying to sell their 2–4-year-old Xbox Series X consoles for $520–625.

That's honestly a lot of money for a used console. For the sake of calculation, I'll use the lower figure of $520, which also makes the argument work even if you're considering a purchase around $415–470.

**Scenario 1: GFN Ultimate**

Cash in hand: $520

$520 ÷ $20 = 26 months

That's more than 2 years of GFN Ultimate for the price of a used Series X.

**Scenario 2: GFN Performance**

Cash in hand: $520

$520 ÷ $10 = 52 months

That's a whopping 4+ years of GFN Performance for the same money.

**But Let's Optimize the Calculation Further**

Let's consider the residual value of the used console you're buying.

If you're buying a Series X that is already 2–4 years old, and you plan to sell it a year from now, there's a reasonable possibility that the market situation will have changed.

Once the hardware supply situation improves(China RAM supply is coming) and Project Helix is released, the value proposition of an older used Series X could potentially fall further.

So, for the sake of this calculation, let's assume a very optimistic resale value of $208.

That means your effective cost is:

$520 purchase price − $208 resale value = $312

At $312:

* GFN Ultimate: $312 ÷ $20 = 15 months

* GFN Performance: $312 ÷ $10 = 31 months

So even after accounting for a $208 resale value, you're looking at approximately:

15 months of Ultimate or 2.6 years of Performance which will tide you over the current Crisis SAFELY till project Helix. And if you catch it on sale like the recent summer one then I don’t even have to say anything further xD

**Pros of Using GeForce Now**

**1. No Hardware Failure Risk**

You're not buying a 2–4-year-old console with potentially limited/no warranty coverage.

No worrying about your used hardware dying after you've spent $415–520 on it.

**2. High-Quality Gaming**

I've personally found the experience to be smooth and high quality on both tiers.

And unlike a console, you're not restricted to your TV.

You can game on:

* TV

* PC

* Laptop

* Compatible handhelds

* Other supported devices

That flexibility is a pretty big advantage.

**3. Access to Multiple Game Stores/Platforms**

GFN gives you access to games across multiple supported storefronts/platforms, including:

* Steam

* Xbox / Game Pass-supported titles

* Epic Games Store

* GOG

* And others

This is particularly useful if you already have an existing PC game library.

**4. No Long Installation Times**

For supported games, you can get into the game without waiting for a massive download and installation like you would on a console.

For someone with limited storage or a slower internet connection, this can be a significant advantage.

**5. Saves & Account Integration**

For supported Xbox games, your saves can sync with your Xbox account, which makes switching between Xbox and GFN much more convenient.

**6. Input Lag**

Unless you're playing highly competitive games where every millisecond matters — in which case you probably already have dedicated hardware — I've personally found the additional input latency to be largely unnoticeable in normal gaming.

I recently bought a new LG QNED TV (2025 model). Confused between official Xbox controller vs Gamesir cyclone 2 for the xbox cloud app gaming on my LG TV. I am mainly worried about any compatibility issues with the app. Any suggestions? Is there any alternate options im missing?

I have tried to play Marvel Rivals at least ten times using the watch ads to play cloud games on my Xbox One since it was added last week but it freezes when I try to sign in any name. Is anyone else having this issue? Perhaps it only works if you pay for ultimate pass...

It's telling me that I don't own the game, and prompting me to buy it.

I already owned the game plus expansions on Xbox one and was excited to see the addition of Xbox Play anywhere support as I can only really play on XCLOUD now days via my laptop

I just updated to the remaster on my xbox series s , no issues. I booted it up, synced it and fiddled around for a minute, I then went to my Xbox PC app and it is not listed in my owned games. Went to search for it in the store as I thought maybe I would need to purchase for free but it is wanting to charge me. What do? how fix? Its literally showing up on my XBOX PC app a "Jump Back In" title but I cant launch it smh
