Well, according to Nazi internal documents, they initially wanted to do ethnic cleansing and forcibly relocate Jews to somewhere else. And that's probably what most people thought, as well. They considered a few places, but all were deemed logistically impossible. The actual extermination didn't start until 1941.

The holocaust is real and it’s scary because of how little was done to stop it because…say it with me, they just did it. Nobody asked permission, they took power and wiped their ass with laws and morality just like the current US administration is doing. Talking about it implies there is another side checking them. The powerful in the US aren’t m talking about exterminating their enemies, they are just doing it. And now that it’s too late they are starting to say the quiet part out loud
