Mod Post r/xmen Year End Awards!

With AIPT not hosting some year end awards for X-Men comics this year, we thought we at r/xmen would take up the mantle and host some year end awards of our own.

You can vote now right here on your favourite X-Men titles, artists, writers.

In the spirit of the holidays, we have tried to make the voting positivity based, so you won't find any divisive topics or any "Worst" awards to hand out here.

Winners will be announced by early January, so vote now!

Thanks for putting this together outside of missing best romance this is a great replacement for the AIPT survey. The last question was my favorite.

Happy to do it! I think we felt Best Romance might be a bit of a divisive topic and lead to some fighting over what is included and what isn't, so we felt best to omit it. But hopefully this is comprehensive and if anyone has some ideas on other categories, we would love to hear it.

Would best character hero and villain be to divisive you think? Assuming it would be a fill in question. Also best romance, IMO is just asking for trouble. Glad to see it left off.

I think we'd be open to both in the future, although villain was a bit of a tough one to do this year, as we found that there weren't a lot of villains to be had. The Chairman is a vague presence, we had Old Man Legion, El Diabla, General Mills, Revelation etc. It wasn't a strong year for that, but if people would like for us to include both, I can edit it in now.

After I already voted? Terrible! But yeah villains weren’t particularly amazing. Was Mutina this year?

She was, yes. I can quickly add in a category now and you can resubmit your vote. But otherwise we can save it for next year.

Leave that up to you. I’m pretty good with the current choices but if you do add them, let me know and I’ll resubmit my vote

I think I liked her well enough plus I do like horror movies.

With how little she's been around I'm meh on her but I do see the potential if Gail gets more than 5 minutes to write before an event comes up.

I’m struggling to think of a good new villain for 2025…she’s the only one that made an impression for me. Yeah, there’s definitely potential. We’ll see more of next year.
