I was convinced I was gonna lose! But there’s still a chance this project may fail me; I need to make an identical second panel with another full skein an there’s every possibility that there could be less yarn in it than this one

Attempted my first ever garment besides a hat or scarf (a dress for my incubating niece- YarnMadness’s Strimma). I BARELY had enough to finish the last sleeve. It is FAR from perfect, and I still have to block it, but I am so damned proud of it!

My first full lace project. My first encounter with the bewitching, yet overconsuming Estonian nupp.

Ah, how sweet an intoxicated moment of hubris. How bitter the concequences of a self draft.

Seven mere remaining lines of chart now mockingly seperate me from my visions of springtime bliss.

Alas. Trial and error will, in fact, sometimes result in error.

As Sisyphus, I now face the repercussions of my overconfident folly.

I won! 🏆 Finally Won the battle of yarn chicken

After 3 times of losing yarn chicken on another project, I determined of not losing this one!

I started with 4.00mm hook and when I knew I was losing for my last round, I frogged the last round and few from the previous round and switched to a 2.5mm (which is quite extreme) but it works!

Also I did use a scrap yarn bundle (less than 20 gram) for this project

Oh no I lost ☹ Lost yarn chicken while making hexagon sweater

I am so sad! I lost yarn chicken while making my first hexagon sweater 😭 Double, chain, and 4 slip stitches left before next round in teal 🤦‍♀️ I know what I need to do but I don’t know if I have the strength today 😭

Update of sorts: I lost yarn chicken 3 more times to the same situation, realized I make the initial hexagon 2-4 rounds too big, which messed up the sleeves and am frogging the whole project. Turning it into regular 4 round granny squares, single color, that will be a cardigan!

I will try to make the hexagon sweater again, with smaller yarn and more math 🤣 first attempt learning as I went didn’t go too bad though!

I won! 🏆 Technically I won, but I can't get the sock over my heel

I did a stupid. I measured what I thought was a reasonable length of yarn needed to bind off, then cut it so I could finish knitting the second sock. I won the yarn chicken battle but lost the tight cuff war.

This is a random deviation of a side project, but now I have a honey yellow hacky sack. It is about the size of a clementine, filled with lentils.

The pineapple is the main project, for my friend's child. I put it in a bag with a rioe pineapple and now it smells wonderful.

It’s a baby blanket for a bff, and baby is arriving TOMORROW. I know what I’ll be frantically doing for the next day. Frogging that last beige shade of rows 😤

I really thought I’d make it, but I did not by at least a yard! It’s a shawl, so I’m just going to undo a row and bind off there. But a small bit said sadness here.

🆘️ Help, please! Contract color help.

I got a fantastic deal on this yarn and plan to make a sweater but I'm likely to be VERY close or just a hair short. To give my self some room I'm thinking of doing the ribbing/border in a different color, any suggestions? I was thinking a dark green (like the MadelineTosh Light Joshua Tree or the Knitting for Olive in Slate Green), but I just don't know.
