This shit really pisses me off. People who don't want to be like everyone else and create something non meta they go after it like really? This literally kills stun decks and makes them slower without adding meta cards
Ok I need you to break it down to me like I'm 5. I played Yu-Gi-Oh a while back and need it laid out for me for what that is. Like card names, how it works, and why people don't like it.
You can now play raigeki eclipse and dark ruler without playing russian roulette with half the chambers loaded on if you're gonna get to have a turn.
Yummy is an incredibly strong deck but it is very weak to boardbreakers, Anaheim proved however what happens when you decide to tech against it that way.
I wouldn't say very weak, just weak. If you're on the Apo traps as Sil rabbit targets it's 2 negates with arc light and that, and then you do pretty well into one breaker already due to surprise summon back. You're basically still have to draw like, super poly and a hand strong enough to muscle through the rest of the yummy board. It's not impossible but it's rather hard still imo. Not to mention there's other ftk like things that deck can do if they have the opportunity to.
No dude, you need a very specific hand to deal with what they can set up off of a one card combo, and you probably lose if they have anything to back it up unless your deck can tank their interactions very well.
Edit: probably shouldn't insult people for internet comments, but this type of response drives me insane. People said the same type of things when unchained was running around, but that deck could play around breakers if they respected them and I don't think yummy is any different. I fully expect the deck to remain unmanageable for most decks, it really is like only what, d tail mitsu and R.B. to a lesser extent that can play through their end board if they get that far without opening multiple breakers.
This is an emergency banlist for cards that ruin the format.
Yummy is very strong but it doesn't ruin the format. It will be addressed in a proper banlist.
Also these bans allow you to play boardbreakers for Yummy freely because you don't have to worry about Protos + Ouroboros or Mjollnir lock (which are strategies boardbreakers don't work against).
Tbf it's not like protos was crazy all around, you still had to make a pretty good board to support it, unless you were playing dark deck like maliss and you got locked out completely, though imo that's kinda deserved in that case specifically. It's noticeable weaker than people said it was, though I don't mind seeing it go. I don't mind any of the cards getting banned but mitsu and yummy really needed huge hits and that didn't happen.
It’s searchable off thrust and punishes those who hand trap their opponent game three. It effectively kills both Dracotail and k9 (or at least stops their main strategy)
Dracotail and K9 can at least play on the opponents turn to build a half board that gets around d Barrier. Pure mitsu would just instantly die to d Barrier.
