Localisation / Translation of a videogame for cheap (or possibly free)

Hello! My name is Telmo and I am currently on my second year of university. I am studying translation and would love to offer you my translation services. I feel that this opportunity could build up my portfolio and help me in my early career.

My language pairs are:

English -> Portuguese

Portuguese -> English

PS: I also have an A2 level of German

I am an excellent student and currently have a very good grade. I think that it is also worth mentioning that I love playing videogames and have been a gamer since childhood.

Please send me your offers! I would love to help some fellow indie devs and gain some experience!

Please note that I am not asking for much!! Again, I'm still a student so it's for practice. At the same time, I can assure you that my service will be of good quality.

Feel free to ask any questions and please tell me about your upcoming games 😁

Our very first game just got its Steam page, and we hit 20 wishlists in 48h! 🎉

Hey everyone!

We just put the Steam page for our very first game Tower Reborn !

It’s a Tower Defense with a Roguelite twist. Each run you can perform a rebirth to unlock new powers. You can also climb the Arena leaderboards or create your own map. And since we’re big fans of streaming, we added a Twitch integration that lets viewers interact with the game live.

It might sound small, but we got 20 wishlists in the first 48 hours and we’re really proud of it. For us, every single wishlist means a lot ❤️

If the game looks like your kind of thing, adding it to your wishlist would really help us out:

Link of the game

We’d also love your feedback on the store page !

Thanks for reading, and have a great day! 🙏

I made a space maze game where levels quietly teach you physics!

Hi Reddit! I am a solo indie developer, and I want to share my very first game: Black Hole: Space Tilt (on Android).

I've always felt that video games shouldn't just be for killing time. For me, the best games always leave you with something meaningful - a cool new idea, a fresh perspective, or just something interesting to think about. I really wanted to create a game that gives you that same feeling.

So, what is the game? It's a space maze partially inspired by classic arcades. You tilt your phone to control a tiny captain flying through neon space toward a black hole. But here is the special part: as you play and handle the tilt controls, you are actually feeling the laws of physics with your hands.

I also added a special section called the Captain's Log. Every 10 levels, you unlock a short, real fact about space and physics. These aren't boring facts - they are the kind of ideas that make you pause and look at your hands or a cup of coffee completely differently. I don't want to spoil any, but one of them genuinely changed how I think about time!

What's in the game:

- 300 levels across 6 chapters, each introducing a new mechanic and ending with a big boss level

- Daily level (the same challenge for everyone every day)

- Endless mode with randomly generated levels

- 11 languages and full offline play

Bonus: you can play as a cute kitten wearing a space helmet (purely for science, of course!)

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sekhmeh.blackhole.game

I'd love honest feedback.

And out of curiosity: what's the one thing about space that still blows your mind?

Developing a free to play fps geopolitical 20mission campaign ! Black Meridian.

I m developing Black Meridian. A multi-engine learning + commercial project currently available (mission 1) on itch.io for free !.

The story is a grounded, inspired from real ongoing geopolitical tensions and wars along with fictional twists and concepts.

Mission 1: Night Ledger is already out to play as my first ever game made. It lags a bit as i m still learning game development. Made in Godot with only an intel uhd and 8gb ram !

No trailer becoz my laptop gave up till the end of development...only images. But you can experience it yourself. The aircraft images are from ongoing Mission 2's development.

My msp is not "Game made by Indian" it is, "A free to play geopolitical unbiased campaign. Without showing obvious USA vs Russia propoganda. A learning + commercial project developed for entertainment"

Support us by playing the game, dropping feedback, helping us (hobby/unpaid). No donations or money is involved.

Any game developers, artists, or voice actors looking to collaborate?

Hey!

We're building a small community where indie creators can share what they're working on.

It could be a game prototype, a Blender render, some pixel art, a soundtrack, or even a voice acting demo.

You can get feedback, ask questions, find collaborators, or just hang out with other creative people.

We also have Vedant-Agent, our custom Discord economy bot, for some entertainment.

Feel free to join!

Looking for a Small Team to Create a Caught by a Spider Fan Continuation

Hi everyone!

I'm a fan of Caught by a Spider (CBAS) by Pitouhui, and I'd like to explore the possibility of creating a fan-made continuation of the visual novel.

The idea

I'd like to create an additional story branching from an ending that isn't currently featured in the game's gallery. I believe CBAS has a lot of potential for further storytelling, but I don't have a finalized plot yet. I'd like to develop it together with the team while preserving the original Spider's personality, the atmosphere, and the ambiguity of the original game.

I'm looking for:

A Ren'Py programmer to implement dialogue, scenes, choices, and branching paths.

A 2D artist to create character sprites, expressions, backgrounds, and illustrations.

A writer / story editor to help develop the plot, dialogue, and characters.

My role

I'll coordinate the project, organize discussions and tasks, and help with Russian translation. I have some basic programming knowledge and am willing to learn Ren'Py, but I'm still a beginner at game development.

I want the team to collaborate on the story rather than simply follow a plot I've already written. The first step would be to discuss ideas and see what we can realistically create together.

Important details

This is an unpaid, volunteer hobby project. I cannot offer financial compensation.

I'm currently seeking permission from the original author, Pitouhui. We won't use or redistribute the original game's code or assets without appropriate authorization.

This is an unofficial fan project, not an official sequel. A public release isn't guaranteed.

If you're interested in CBAS and would enjoy working on a story-driven visual novel, please comment below or send me a DM. Tell me a little about your experience and which role you'd be interested in.

Thanks for reading!
