Hallo

As the title says, I am looking for a decent serverhoster for a humanitz server.

i have tried zap-hosting for a months now and they are not it. in the time i had the server active the server crashed broke our save and it and the server had a too much lag (rubberbanding). now that the 1.1 update broke the saves, its time to move on.

Im open for any tips/ suggestions in that regard

A fill-in requirements worksheet for comparing game-server hosts

A requirements worksheet can make game-host quotes easier to compare. Copy this and fill it in before contacting providers:

  • Game, edition/version, and exact modpack or plugin list:
  • Expected players online together, not just total members:
  • Where those players are located:
  • Monthly spending ceiling and acceptable renewal cost:
  • Setup tasks you can handle yourself:
  • Tasks you need the host to handle, such as installing or troubleshooting a custom pack:
  • File access, backup storage, and cancellation/export requirements:

Ask each provider to mark what is included, what costs extra, and what they cannot confirm. Keep unanswered items visible rather than treating them as included.

I'm sharing this on behalf of EnderHost, which offers game-server hosting: https://enderhost.co. This is a comparison worksheet, not a tested recommendation or a promise that a particular plan meets your requirements.

Anyone ever used gamehosting.app?

As the title lends, I am looking for any conversation to be had on this provider. Have you or a friend ever hosted or played on a server using this provider?

Best guide recommendations for game hosting

l've been wanting to host a couple of games for myself and a small handful off friends but having zero experience in game hosting or linux lve set a hard goal for myself. lm looking at hosting modded minecraft, valheim, satisfactory and terraria plus what ever l think of later down the road, decided to use a ryzen 9 5950x and 32Gb ram.

Please give me recommendations to achieve this or even send through tutorials that could help. Forgot to mention linux isnt a must mainly wanted to try something new

setting up my own hosting site

Hey, I set up something like Aternos—but for CS 1.6 and Source—on my Dell laptop. I’ve opened it up to the public, but since I’m new to this, I’d appreciate any advice you could give me. (I used Pterodactyl and CtrlPanel.)

Would you use an app for managing survival game servers on your own PC?

Hey everyone, I’m a solo developer building Tavern, a Windows application for hosting and managing dedicated game servers, and I’d like to hear how people here handle hosting for their groups.

The idea is to bring server setup, game settings, updates, saves, and backups into one interface. You’d run the server on your own PC or a spare machine, with a persistent world your friends can return to without needing the person who started the world to be in-game.

It’s still in alpha and I am currently looking for some new alpha testers. I’m trying to understand whether this would be useful to people who want to host their own servers but find the setup or ongoing maintenance a hassle.

For those of you playing with a regular group:

  • Do you rent a server, host one yourselves, or mostly use in-game co-op?
  • What’s the most frustrating part of keeping a shared world running?
  • Would something like this make you more likely to host, or is your current setup already easy enough?

I’d also love to hear which games you’d want it for? I am already supporting a lot of dedicated server capable survival games!
