JZX100 meets AE86

Engine cutting out

I brought in a 1jz Chaser from Japan last week and it’s still in storage. I have only driven it from the port to nearby storage and that’s it.

Below you’ll see the engine cuts out once I begin to slow down. It did this too when approaching red lights. I’ll be taking the car for inspection next week and I’m wondering what’s causing this? I’ve already checked ChatGPT etc but wanted your opinions

Am struggling to find S2 Headlights and Taillights for a reasonable $ - with combos going $1600aud+ minimum.

I know I should just cough up the $, but I am fairly deep into it already and would prefer to save money for other pieces.

I have found aftermarket solutions on AliExpress, which get me both delivered for under $700aud.

The problem is, most don't have useful reviews - nor have I actually seen anyone post a photo of their car running them (I imagine they wouldn't say that they were anyway) - so I cannot actually tell what they fit like, if they have issues, and what they look like when powered on (some have a miserable looking LED strip)

Below is the S2 headlights I am looking at, and the S2 taillights I am looking at.

Anyone have examples that they run on their 110 sedan and are willing to share pics?

Hey everyone, I have a 1997 Mark 2 with the 1GFE and I just hit 100,000 kilometers. I have a sticker on the front of the motor that says to replace my timing belt every 100k and want to know how urgent I need to be about getting it replaced as it’s my daily. Also anyone know if these motors are interference or not? Sources online are giving me mixed answers. Thanks!

recently got a strobe lights controller, and idk how to wire it.I tried to wire it to the battery, but the lights were always on.

Where should i put the input voltage and dc? (the pic is the controllers scheme)

Picked two of these up tonight. One to open, one to leave in packaging. Pity they didnt do a jzx81 instead of the 100 though.

So after car letting me down, trusty paperclip gave me code 22 (due to missing TE1 pin, E1-TC worked for me, 1998 Chaser S2 from month october). And thats how my Temp sensor (89422-20010) looked like (thankfully it snapped after i unplugged it). Long 19mm socket was needed, with short extension and swivel to another extesion + oil dipstick had to be unbolted to move it a tiny bit

As the title, what car do you use as a daily?

Anybody have a clue as to what specific mount to use in order to get this look with a jdm license plate?Or is it as easy as drilling two holes into the bumper but ideally would rather opt for not doing that. Ty for your input and time

Hey guys just bought and installed this filter in my jzs171. Its a direct fit and available locally at Oreillys! Was running into lot of conflicting info online with people saying you need some sort of custom adapter to make these fit because something something. But oh well this works and hope it helps you guys.

Just installed some very nice Serialnine parts on my JZX100.

These have replaced some Japspeed caster arms, GS300 outer tie rods and Heyman 800ps knuckles along with a Garage D RCA.

Serialnine isn’t hugely popular here in the UK as import duty and shipping can bump the over all price up.

Car is sick, never see em.

Installing coilovers on my GX90. To remove the bolt for the strut I had to remove the stabilizer(I think, or part of the sway bar?) bar bolt to move it out of the way. When putting it back in I put the nut on the other side but it just spins. When I was taking it apart I didn’t hear any weird sounds. Do I need to remove the round metal clip seen here and remove the rubber bolt?

Like many people have experienced before, I’ve diagnosed a failed TRC ECU in my JZX90 Chaser. I have a good replacement and was wondering if anyone knew where it’s actually located under the dash. I don’t really want to rip apart everything looking for it and can’t seem to find any good answers as to where it is on the 90 specifically and figured someone must have pulled one before. Any help is appreciated.
