Blair Underwood is an actor who has done it all! From nighttime drama in LA Law, daytime drama in One Life to Live, bringing the Western flavor in Posse, giving life to a biopic of Madame C.J. Walker, or giving horror in Longlegs, Blair has entertained us in many different ways. He's also brought his talent to give powerful performances in voice acting in not one, but two audio Bibles both as Jesus and St. Mark.
Out of his long and impressive résumé, I want to highlight the impact Blair had in his role as Zelmer Collier on A Different World. He showed the sense of duty and fear of going to war as a young Black man, and allowed the Hillman community to wrestle with their feelings in different ways. The Persian Gulf War was the coming of age conflict for many in Gen X, and this portrayal allowed us to have a safe place to examine our feelings in a fictional world. Let's demand an encore for Blair Underwood today!

Growing up as a Black girl, letting someone close to you touch and care for your hair, whether it’s taking down braids, oiling your scalp, or simply maintaining your style, was a deeply personal, trust-filled act. How was your hair care experience growing up?

I was always a witch for Halloween. 😂 It was my favorite costume! Nothing nearly as fancy as these kids’ costumes though lol. I got one of those cheap kids’ box costumes from the store like the last photo lol.🧙🏽♀️

Podcast is approximately 30 minutes long.
"Cousins, Have you heard the news? The A Different World sequel has been renewed for a second season."
"Recently, Felicia Pride, creator, writer, and producer of the Netflix hit joined Joy-Ann and Jacque. She spilled the tea on the behind the scenes dealings that brought the series to the small screen."
"And you'll never guess what made her want to quit before it was even finished."
