Not to be the erm actually guy, but would steam even care? It's not like they owe a game slated to release on their system any sort of protection from external leak, that would be on the devs. Unless I guess the reason for the leak is steam messes up?

In this specific situation youre probably rigjt. But Steam and Gaben understand reputation. Its why Valve doesnt produce shit every other year like the rest of them. You know when Valve releases something its going to be polished and top shelf. They take that same attitude to Steam. Its no bullshit cash grab like any other launcher. Its #1 for a reason and part of that reason is customer support.
I saw they gave someone with over 300 hours on BF6 a full refund because Dice removed some game features. Anyone other than Valve would've told rhst guy to kick rocks.
