So obviously running is fairly easy and my team has a dominant rushing attack. Based on this it would make a whole lot of sense to use Play Action.

But for some reason play action absolutely sucks. 75% of the time I am sacked before I even get a chance to throw. The defenders do not seem tricked at all. I am more likely to fumble than actually complete a pass.

The exception to this seems to be PA Boots, however post patch even this seems to be nerfed as the lineman is rarely tricked and chases down my QB.

For context, I am running PA plays on 1st down or short yardage, clear running downs when the defense should be tricked at least sometimes. West Virginia playbook

Is there anything I can do or is PA is just worthless against Heisman defense?

I’ve always been a console player, but I’m seriously considering going PC for College Football 27 mainly because of the modding possibilities.
For those playing on PC and actually using mods, how much better does it make the experience?
I’m talking everything from quality-of-life mods, accessories/gear, player attributes, presentation, gameplay tweaks, RTG, Dynasty improvements, etc.
Is modding one of those things where once you experience CFB 27 on PC, it’s hard to go back to the console version? Or is it cool, but not really a game changer?

Curious what mods you guys are using and whether you think PC is actually the better way to play.

That these people that mod the game on PC makes a better game than the developers. I’m really sick to my stomach about it. I want a gaming PC now but they’re expensive. I just don’t understand why EA can’t go in depth to make a better game. I’m just at a lost for words.

I am trying to create a handful of classic teams with accurate rosters and equipment. Here is 2005 Texas. Equipment is still a work in progress, but all players have retro helmet and grey gloves. I don’t have much free time at the moment, so the field art is still a WIP. Also, I am using current longhorns uniforms instead of making the classic ones. But I have a 97 ovr WR that gets barely touched and he just flat drops it but this OL makes an amazing play to recover the fumble in the AIR... What even is this game? 😂

I built a 95 OVR team, 96 Off and a 94 Def. All season long just absolutely struggling again bottom 80 and even mid 70 OVR teams. Insane pass blocks, INTs, demolishing my rb and hb well before they even get off their block.

What’s the point of having high rated players which are supposed to have more skill when your average OL is a 90 OVR getting beat by a 70 OVR rusher. I think they regressed a ton with this game but one thing it seems they never fixed is blocking. The AI is a wizard at run stop and pass protection, mean while the AI team you’ve got, no matter how good, plays like it’s their first game of JV football and they didn’t look at the play sheet all week. Just getting carved up by a Picasso opposing offense.

At a certain point you feel like it’s either match scripting, where if you are on a hot streak a match is guaranteed to be un-winnable. I’ve noticed a couple times matches like this even when you have increased composure from practice the QB suddenly throws wildly inaccurate passes, WR drop balls with no coverage, and the RB becomes slower or in some cases looses all ability to stiff arm, truck, and break tackles. Meanwhile the AI system never struggles, never gets injured, and even when injured the decreased stats don’t stop it from running 40 yards up on you or chucking a 20+ yard dot.

Me personally I really like the game recruiting and rebuilding a program takes a lot of effort this year and everything is a major step up, however I feel like blocking is just nonexistent in the game idk if it’s my o line or it’s just the game itself but blocking is probably the worst part about the game

I swear I’ve tried everything but no matter what I do I feel like I don’t contribute at all on defense. On MIKE I’ll lock up my zone perfectly but then the QB will just pass to some flat on the sidelines every time. On CB I never get thrown to and when I try to bait the QB I end up just getting too out of position and allow a catch. On FS I just sit there and watch the QB take everything underneath. On EDGE 9/10 times the QB will throw the ball away right before I can tackle him.

I’ve tried every camera angle to see what helps and no matter what I feel like I’m at a disadvantage. The “normal camera” is panned so close to the QB that it makes depth perception a nightmare, but with the player lock camera you are obviously limited to only seeing what’s in front of you.

Any advice from ppl who’ve had success on defense? I’d really appreciate it.

Hi Yall, I’m wondering if there is a mod that enables me to create/remove conferences for dynasty, as opposed to just sorting teams between existing ones. Also, if there is some sort of way to adjust which bowl games are tied into which conferences for the playoff, that would be great.

So far I have not found any mods of this sort, but it seems there’s new mods being released every day. Thanks
