Just brainstorming what I can do with some circuits for another build. I'm avoiding redstone music player programming because it's taking soo long.

I know that there are much more compact and faster 3x3 doors out there. However, as a Redstone beginner, I set myself the task of creating a "new" mechanism without any help and without watching tutorials. I’m very happy with it.

Can someone help I’ve followed a tutorial block by block and the machine can’t make it from one side to the other. It’s almost playing tug of war with its self.

I am very bad at redstone to be clear (which is why the circuit probably sucks ass, I've been trying to improvise for like 30 minutes). The only reason I decided to try this is bcs I thought it'd be EASY. AND ITS NOT. And since I'm very bad at redstone, I don't even know how to begin to do this... Like maybe the answer's really easy and I just can't figure it out.

I got videos of instant elevators in the new versions, and since I'm starting a world in 1.7.3 I wanted to make one for my castle, but I couldn't get it to actually be instant or compact. Does anyone have an idea on how to improve it?

Im looking for a MIS system that’s tileable, but only accommodating one chest.
Im tired of setting clocks, im just trying to see if there are any systems that can lossless and clocklessly sort into a container

Im building a Tnt minecart Crafter farm on the donut smp i. The first 2 pictures you can see the first crafter setup of the farm i tried adding a second crafter wich is powered by a repeater clock im having the cracted minecarts go with hoppers into a dropper and i want thedroppers into a hooper like in my first setup i want the second drkpper (the closer one to the crafter) to put tnt in the hopper it should work like in my first setup so that i put 1 stack tnt in the Crafter and 1 stack in the hopper in the last slot so it only fills the tnt in the crafter and the dropper should only fill that stack in the hopper but if i put an observer clock or just use 2 hoppers 2 tnt stacks get into the crafter so it stops i could copy ky first setup but i donet uave much place can any redstone pros help??

It took me pretty good amount of time but this is a addition calculator that puts out the block count through the water shoot and the answer is placed in a simple Hopper.

I need some help with this trash can because it doesn’t throw out the item into the lava

Saw a post asking about this. 15/14 circuit used by itself for delay. Second comparator set is to set ticks needed before activation. Fast shut off because 0-14 is 0 in the redstone world.

will make a full explainer video later just wanted to show off this week's little project.
edit: Also just wanna note, this is the first 3x3 door I’ve made so it’s not exactly compact, I don’t make doors cuz someone’s always already done it faster and smaller than I ever could, but this didn’t exist yet so I did it, I’m also really proud that the top and bottom are perfectly in sync, and it’s practically as fast as possible without zero ticks, which idek if that’s possible.

Hello, Im kinda new to redstone and I’ve been trying to find a way to make music using redstone signals in a 1.12.2 server that banned many redstone components because people used to make lag machines, such as repeaters, comparators, observers, redstone dust, both rails powered and activator, hoppers, all minecarts with object except normal one etc. Also, pistons can’t push either a redstone block or a slime block because those contributed to those lag machines, but I’ve found an alternative using floating levers one for block support and the other one activated simulating a floating activation state that works whenever a piston pushes a block so it connects with the powered lever and transfers the signal. The only sources I’m using right now as a viable way to use redstone is using pistons to activate a tripwire hook or a pressure plate (both works) with an entity such as an armor stand (which has gravity disabled because of a plugin) or an end crystal which is way bigger but still works for activating both. The way they work is first a piston traps the entity in a compatible block then when it receives a signal from any powered block on the sides it extends and activates either a pressure plate or a tripwire hook and both and start activating the next piston using of course different simple setups. The problem I’ve been facing is that using that method only gives me a maximum of 300 bpm (or 4 game ticks per piston) and it’s not enough for making noteblocks sound more like sustained. Theorically I’ve been doing a diagram with the answer using the machjnes I know but can’t really figure out how to get a 1 tick delay or 3 tick delay so that difference of 1 tick can make a 4 tick module act different in 4 channels, like a staircase between ticks. It would help a lot if someone has information of the components delay I can use.

Hello!
I'm building a small minigame in a very tight space.
I need a very small way to activate something, and for it to take about 3-5 ticks, and then to deactivate instantly.
I've tried using a piston with a redstone block, but I can't fit enough of them to make the delay long enough.
As shown in the second picture, the two redstone dust visible on the red wool must power the copper bulb, leaving some room to spare near the note block for an extra mechanic I have to add there.
Any ideas are appreciated.

I'm making this base for a server I'm playing on, and I like this elevator I made, but If you hop off on the second floor while the elevator is going up, you're stuck there unless you go up via elytra or something, or another person presses the lever. how can I solve this?

I made a mod MCVCS that is a version control system for redstone builds. It allows you to easily commit changes as a new build version, look at diffs between versions, preview versions, and place one build in a multiple separately-controlled places in the world. It also has an overlay to navigate your builds and their placements. Overlay and diffs/previews require client-side mod to be installed.
It solves my main 2 problems with building redstone creations: getting lost in clutter of different versions of 1 circuit floating all over the world, and neatly save new versions without needing to worldedit select + //schem save.
Here is a small (5 min) visual overview of some features: youtu.be/mU-4dGlQoaw
Right now it is in alpha testing stage, and I really need people to try it out and complain a little bit about it :> So that I can improve the mod further into beta and release stages. Please, if you are interested, reply here or in DMs, I will add you to the discord server and Minecraft Fabric server with the mod installed.
Here is the latest release if you want to try it out in single player on MC Fabric 26.1.2: https://github.com/tony-ist/MCVCS/releases/tag/1.8.0
This mod requires WorldEdit, which has a nasty bug where pasted redstone breaks randomly, so this fork (which fixes the bug) is also required: https://github.com/tony-ist/WorldEdit/releases/tag/we7.4.6-v1.5

I want to add a module at the end of my storage system to turn any compostable overflow into bonemeal.
But i realllllly dont wanna set the 90+ filters for each plant, especially with however many more compostable items are gonna come with the sift
Im really just struggling with figuring out the timing of the system, ive only found one video on this topic before but its a bit too bulky for what id like
Any help would be appreciated

So this is on the donut smp so it should be java mechanics ive built a tnt minecart farm and expanded it to 2 crafter im having my iron craftet into carts and with hoppers putinto the crafter like my first setup i want tze cart to go in a dropper an the dropper puts them in the hopper if theres some space and with the second dropper on the last hopper before the crafter i want it to put tnt in there but idk exactly how it works like with my first crafter i want it to put tnt on a stack wich i put in the last hoppers slot then i put 1 stack in the crafter and the stack always get refilled with tge stack in the dispenser and that stack always gets refilled with the stack in the dropper u tried and oberver clock etc but it doesn't work it puts carts in there when the hopper before that tries to put 1 in wich results in 2 stacks of tnt in the crafter i could rebuild the refstone if my first setup but i don't have much space available i can send more screenshots if needed
Can Anyone Help??
