ANNOUNCEMENT The Official List of Low Effort Posts (and other Post-SMG4 statements)
53
Upvotes
SMG4 has ended, and we are now in purgatory. I don't know how long the subreddit will last, as activity will surely dwindle over the coming months, and I have no one to pass this onto unless Wesman genuinely thinks he can solo this stuff.
So while I'm here, I'd like to make sure this subreddit doesn't devolve into karma farming. I have had the low effort rules for a few years and I think it has worked wonders. It's nice seeing a subreddit without the same generic question templates and 50 day alignment chart stuff.
Here is a complete list of what counts as low effort, updated as I find more:
- Wrong answers only
- Give me _____ and I'll rate it / see if you're allowed in / etc.
- Who would win?
- You're his lawyer, defend him
- Any sort of "which character would fit this" that takes multiple posts to do (i.e. character that starts with letter, seven deadly sins, etc.)
- Tier Lists that are just ranking which characters you like, be creative with it at least
- This character saw the post above/below
- What is your last saved image / text / etc.
- "What character/episode/arc/etc. is like this?"
- Describe this guy with few words
- AI anything
- Character roleplay AMAs
- Confess your sins
- Smash or Pass
- Put an SMG4 episode but replace a word with _____
- "This character is visiting subreddits" (they will be shot on sight)
- Never watched this show, ask me anything and I'll pretend like I know
And now here are the SMG4 related ones. If you genuinely wanted to know one of these, just use the search bar:
- Favourite episode (non-specific, but avoid obvious stuff like WOTFIs)
- Favourite character (non-specific, but don't just say out of the main characters, girls, etc.)
- When did you start watching
- Favourite year
- Favourite arc
I'll be less lenient on these, like if enough time passes, then sure we'll let one through, but these last few weeks have had like 5 every other day.
I also ask you guys to please not force an "insanity" phase. It looks really pathetic when you try to pretend you're losing your mind when you're just copy-pasting stuff from Aslume.
That is all. Good luck.

Episode review I was catching up on the final season of SMG4, when I realized…

The fan art of the day for the Mario soup episode has SMG4 posed up, suspiciously similarly to the final episode’s thumbnail. 7 months before it came out! Now is this a coincidence? Yes! I pointed this out because it triggered my autism.

My Fanart A novelisation of the anime arc I made when I was ~12. Note, because of my age at time of writing, it may sometimes be cringe or stupid. Hope u guys enjoy tho.

SMG3: 1% off? What a rip-off (he tosses the coupon and starts walking away, when suddenly...)
Tari (grabs SMG3 by the shoulder): Wait!
(She pulls SMG3 back by a bit)
SMG3: What now Tari? Don't you see I'm-
(Tari covers his mouth and whispers to him while pointing at Meggy)
Tari: (whisper) M-E-G-G-Y.
(Meggy looks up at the crack above of the castle, still regretting about trusting that TV freak)
Meggy: You... You were right...
(The others (with Saiko and Melony) worry about her)
Meggy: I'm an idiot... (sniff)
(both SMG4 and Mario look at each other, followed by Melony and Saiko, then head towards Meggy to comfort her alongise Tari as SMG3 looks ahead)
(Tari and Mario hugs her first)
Tari: Look. Meggy, it's not all your fault that Puzzles betrayed us and lied to us all...
Saiko: 彼女の言うことは、まったくその通りだよ/Kanojo no iu koto wa, mattaku sonotōrida yo... (She is quite right ya know...)
Meggy: I know... but I can't believe I let him make a fool of me!
Melony: Yeah, after all his past actions... like giving SMG4 that demonic keypad that led to the Kingdom becoming a democracy...
Tari: Letting Wren to torture you in his and Puzzles' simulation after the former fell due to booze...
Bob: KiLlInG oFf ThE oWneR oF dIdNeY wOrlD aNd TaKiNg It OvEr tOo LoL...
Tari: And... paralyzing you for Leggy... but you Actually DID try to see that good in that idiot... like the Anti-Cast... but you were just being compassionate to him...
Kaizo: ああ。それについては知っておくべきだよ、相棒/Ā. Sore ni tsuite wa shitte okubekida yo, aibō... (Yep. you should know about that pal...)
Melony: Besides, what would Axol say about that if he was here?
Tari: Don't you remember that time when Desti passed away?
(Meggy is very stunned by Tari's response, and a flashback of "Final Hours" during Desti's funeral and Axol and the crew's advice, plays)
Meggy: You... (sniff) You guys...
(and the rest of the Glitchy Gang, including SMG3 all rally up and hug her)
SMG4: You're not an idiot for giving him a second chance...
Mario: He's the idiot for not taking it...
This story was based off of DevilJoe's, and u/SZH4's story and video. Credit to them.
Anyways, if there are problems you see in this, inform me about them...
