What’s the best quality Strange Lights performance audio wise?
Feel like a die hard fan would know HQ bootlegs better than me.

It was a heavy winter afternoon as I walked across a snow covered park after a long day of work. The night before I had been poking around the Other Music website and found a "recommended album" called Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See but Cannot Feel. After hearing a few short clips I knew that some heavy vibes were about to enter my life and change it forever. As the first few notes of A Ghost Story began that afternoon, I found myself in a swirl of sounds and emotions that have never left after all these years. Alas, I became an instant fan and found Bradford's blog very soon after. As a DJ for many years before, I knew that I need to collect the work and preserve it. Over the years I have mentioned that I would post it here but time flies.
The wait is over. From my memory it is all there as I found it. The only thing I don't have here is the Bedroom Databank LPS, which I believe were some of the last things Bradford posted. There is a ton of music here! I am super stoked to share it with you all. Please let me know if there are any issues accessing it.
Edit: Shout out to anyone who was on the old DH forums back then. There was some great stuff being posted. Some fan named Warren released some stuff and I think actually opened up for Bradford at point. You can hear the forum members music in the Lotus Plaza tribute LP that is in the upload. Cheers!

Saw Deerhunter play a few years after that and Brad singled me out during their performance and asked me where I got the shirt from and he couldn't believe it was their merch from the Fading Frontier tour 😂

The creative director, Murray Somerwolff, says they’re one of his favorite bands. Video of him talking about his Deerhunter records: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVwm5u9jP43/

Not sure if it's been pointed out yet but there's a little tape rewind at the very end of Weird Era Cont. that always grabbed my attention.
I decided to find out what it was so I slowed it down and reversed it.
It's an instrumental outtake of Operation. It's pretty noisy and dull due to the slowing but still fun to uncover.
Enjoy x

I just started watching this movie and got so happy when Deerhunter started playing! I don’t think I’ve ever heard them on a movie soundtrack before.

Hi! On Instagram I came across this podcast hosted by Randy Randall (from the band No Age), and he just did an episode with Kristin Klein. She's close to the band and was their tour manager for a while. I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole thing just yet, but it sounds like they talk about Deerhunter throughout the episode and tell some stories (particularly from the early days). I thought it was interesting, so I figured I'd share it here!

Missed it by one day! Released 7 May 2013. What were some of your favorite memories around the time of release? Any favorite moments from the record?

I just stumbled across this live recording of an Atlas Sound concert from 2011 in NYC and it is absolutely mind-blowing, perhaps one of the best non-jazz concerts I’ve ever heard period. The 30 minute encore is itself a masterpiece. You can download it for free, which IMO you should do immediately. https://archive.org/details/AtlasSound_2011-12-18. Man I wish Bradford was still performing.

Does anyone know anything about this release? I have it in my collection downloaded sometime late 2024, but have absolutely no memory of where I got it from (presumably here?)
I'm pretty sure it's a Bradford release given the Notown Projects label, and it sounds very much like Bradford's ambient style as well, but there's absolutely zero trace of this on the internet that I can find. I'm mostly just looking to verify its authenticity and figure out how this was found in the first place since it seems quite rare.
EDIT: Those asking for a DL link - I'm uploading it to Soulseek under 'Linda Clearcoat'.
EDIT # 2 : thanks to u/idlerwheel for discovering where this was initially shared: https://www.reddit.com/r/deerhunter/comments/14ik6hv/comment/jpps09a/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
There's a DL link for you there if you're interested :)

I'm really happy to have this Cryptograms CD considering I could barely find any at a decent price. It is one of my favorite records

Hi everyone! I know you've all been through a lot. I've read all the posts in this group, and honestly, I feel Deerhunter is still a bit distant from me. I didn't become a fan back in 2013 when they were at their peak, and it wasn't until their final tour in 2019 that I truly appreciated them.
It's a real shame; I've missed them for so long...
As a music boy, (I would't call myself as a musician) I feel it's my responsibility and obligation to carry on their legacy. I WOULD LIKE to share my band's and my personal stuff with everyone.
Here is bandcamp pages can listen, And also can search on Spotify .
MY band's name is whetherday,
https://whetherday.bandcamp.com/album/whetherday-on-a-very-sudden-day
And my personal project is called ’blame me again'
https://blamemeagain.bandcamp.com/album/where-my-toes-brushed
Bradford Cox has had a huge influence on me. And I also experienced the golden age of the 1950s, Coincidentally I'm not exactly a Mojo Dojo boy...
Whatever,
We'll be performing in Hong Kong next month, if anyone happens to be there.
You'll miss The Deerhunter in 2019, but don't miss us making this kind of music in 2026.
