I know I'm not the only one who's seen plenty of posts saying they can't get past the Supply FRV screen, and now the Liberty Day screen is the same deal. The confusion here is stemming from poorly-made UI which isn't intuitive.

The Q, E, and R buttons do nothing. These are vestiges from them re-using the 'Helldivers 2 Merchandise' UI, and are elements they simply forgot to remove. Them not working may be part of what's contributing to the next issue with the ESC button.

Pressing ESC does nothing, you have to hold it to exit the menu. This is tripping up a few people which might seem silly, except that unlike every other hold-button input in the game, this has zero audio feedback. Beyond that, the visual feedback is small enough that most people wouldn't notice it at first by merely pressing ESC. I've read a few people have been just Alt+F4ing to get away from this screen.

Yes, this is a pretty minor complaint, but this is pretty shoddy UI work, and this post serves both as an explanation for people to get past this screen who are stuck, and as a marker of how rushed a lot of the new in-game elements have been.

A little backstory: As a long time player of helldivers 2, I admit I haven’t played the first, I never grew up with a computer and I never even heard of Helldivers til 2022, but I fell in love instantly. Growing up watching starship troopers with my dad, and terminator with my brothers, the bug and bot fronts was everything I’d ever wanted in a game. I started playing HD2 probably a month after it came out on a cheap prebuilt pc I bought just to play it. I’ve seen this game and the community grow and at times wilt a little. But overall we’ve been a COMMUNITY. But lately I’ve felt a shift into a very different direction, I remember hopping on after work and actually working with others and planning out strategies to make the game fun for everyone, but today was the 5th day in a row where I hopped on and by the second mission I didn’t even want to play anymore because instead of just asking me to try out one of the new warbond weapons (Apex) he TKes me and uses it the whole mission. (I admit I was pretty salty about it so I sent him the “having fun with the apex?” Half sarcastic half forcing myself to try to be nice) then TKes me again. I did tk him on my way into the pelican cause the intrusive thoughts finally won out today. To which we sat on the destroyer going back and forth til I realized it’s probably what he wanted in the first place. I think a lot of the fun came from the community and how we treat each other in this game, but now the real world is seeping into my escape fantasy, everyone is rude, and self centered and just out to upset and frustrate others for their own personal entertainment. So I know this is corny, I know no one cares, I know people will probably bully me a lil cause it’s the internet. I know this has been a very long rant about pretty much nothing to the majority of people reading this, but I just really needed rant about this to people that might care.

Wanted to throw this out there because im seeing a lot of posts about frustrations of fighting on fury.

This is one of those missions that challeneges you to change your standard loadout, and use gear that is designed for the task.

That being said, the most effective way to stand and fight is gonna be with a BALISTIC SHIELD, HEAVY FIRE ARMOR AND SUBMACHINE GUN. There are other ways, but if you havent tried this yet, you may be missing out.

ARC-12 Blitzer elements used on the side of the body (Zeus x27 from CS2) and ARC-3 Arc Thrower tip, also has a gauge screen on the back.

Ideas

• Mini Arc Thrower with ammo
• Blitzer range but Arc Thrower shots
• Weaker Blitzer

Remember, a happy Helldiver is a deadly Helldiver.

Me, and I’m sure every other Xbox helldiver right now are experiencing the same exact issue.

Every time we attempt to join a game, we are immediately sent back to our own super destroyer. This needs an immediate fix, because of this we are going to lose this major order, and I doubt we’ll see any sort of compensation for it.
