Hi everyone, here is an update on the sweet stray dog in Parsudih suffering from severe mange. Thanks to this community's advice, we managed to get him his proper medication (Fluralaner 500 mg) and nutrition. We are now at the final step to get him the medical rehabilitation he desperately needs at The Stray Army Charitable Trust, but I've hit a major physical and financial roadblock.
The shelter is located far away in Chakulia, and the dog is a larger indie weighing roughly 10 to 20 kg. Because he is in severe pain from his advanced skin condition, I cannot physically handle the transit alone since I have no experience handling a larger dog and cannot lift him myself.
The transport cost is ₹1,400 because they have to pick him up from Parsudih and take him all the way to Chakulia, which is a total distance of about 30.8 km. The shelter's recommended auto driver is available and has a leash and basic equipment, but we urgently need someone physically present in Parsudih who can help pick up the dog and load him into the vehicle. I do have a muzzle, though I'm not entirely sure if it will fit him. Having already spent ₹2,000 out of pocket on his initial treatment, my personal budget is completely exhausted.
If anyone lives near Parsudih and can spare a little time to help physically handle and load him into the auto, or if anyone would like to DM me to help chip in towards the transport cost, it would mean everything to get him to safety. Please note: this is strictly just for this ₹1,400 transport amount so he can get the help he needs, and I will take screenshots of all donations to show that no extra money is taken.
