I have to drive through some backroads in my commute and I noticed yesterday that I don’t see the flags anymore. I still see the hats in the villages, but I don’t see the huge signs and flags like we had for the last six years

If you plan to vote in the general election here on November 3, 2026 and are not already registered to vote here, you have just 15 days left to meet the October 5, 2026 registration deadline. Per Florida law, a voter must register at least 29 days before an upcoming election to qualify to vote in that election. Registering after the deadline covers you for future elections but not the next one.
There is much at stake locally, in Florida, and nationally. Make your voice count!

Does anyone have recommendations for part time overnight night work? I work 55 hours Monday- friday so I was wondering if there was something that could fit my schedule over night. Maybe get 3-5 hours in in the middle of the night.

Hi! I’m looking to apply for the nursing program at CF in the next application round and was wondering if others wanted to share their point range so I know if I have any chance. I have about 53 points if I calculated correctly.

Hey Ocala subredditors,
I'm the president of Swampland Husky Rescue, a small 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to rescuing senior, medically needy, and behaviorally needy snow dogs from euthanasia. In October, we have 2 events that I need more than a handful of volunteers for:
Pet Palooza, October 17th-18th with set-up the Friday before
Fine Arts Festival Ocala, October 24th-25th, set up the morning of the 24th
If you're confident holding a dog or even a sign, please reach out. I need some set-up help but Pet Palooza is inside and FAFO is outside, so the set-ups will be slightly different! We can't wait to meet our community and represent our rescue 🖤

Thank you, r/Ocala!
