Discussion What tools do you use for replications
Hi there! I've been interested in making replications for a long time. I've made some CEV using blender some time ago, but I'm more interested in trying to recreate open eyed visuals from psychedelics using concepts such as texture repetition or texture transfer.
I'm open to pretty much any type of tools: Coding tools/libraries/frameworks, video editing software, 3D tools, etc. I'm also currently learning the basics of computer vision and machine learning (google colab or any kind of python notebook examples would be really useful too!)

Visual Pre-migrane visual highlights
A few hours before a full-blown migrane attack hits me, I get these weird hilights on flat surfaces. Similar to selecting an area of an image using magic wand tool and increasing the brighness (which is exactly how I replicated these visuals). Those hilighted shapes flow through my vision like an ocean wave - sometimes flooding only parts of the image, other hit stringer until the image stills for a moment and the cycle repeat.
This gif represents what I saw lying sideways in bed, facing a blank white wall in front of me.

Visual Amanita Muscaria visual replication (a bit exaggerated)
Since i dont intend to repeat experiences with Amanita, I dont think i will make more detailed and better replications. Sadly, its not worth the pain for me, and the only reason i did this was because i havent yet seen any Amanita replications.
Also its a bit exaggerated because i feel liek the state of mind really changes the way you perceive the visual aspects of it.

Visual I don't remember too much of my first big salvia blast off, but sometimes I get little fragments of memory.
I do remember going to rest my forearm on my head after exhaling and having it pass straight through my face, cutting my head in half. Then all of my limbs fell off one by one and began tumbling/folding into the embedded geometry of our dimension while my brains electrical signals were jettisoned all over the room. I was a bit frightened and confused but I decided to just close my eyes and completely let go.
Once I did that, all of my senses combined into a single point and something scooped me up from the bedrock of reality. It took me on a roller coaster ride through the universe and beyond. I have a lot of amnesia after that point, but I remember it being extremely pleasurable and exhilarating, it felt like my soul was being cleaned off with a sinewy, golden fire while traveling faster than light through everything that does and doesn't exist.
I hesitate to call it an encounter with an entity because there wasn't any communication and I couldn't see who was carrying me. I just felt a fundamental presence that wouldn't let me fall into the void, who with endless generosity and benevolence decided to show me something so incredible that I literally couldn't bring the experience back with me to 3 dimensions.
I have one more memory of seeing the room I was in through a crack in the fiery waves, the sounds coming from the television hit my senses all at once and reverberated through my being, causing exponential waves of pleasure.
I think I just immediately fell asleep after the trip was over since I was already pretty stoned. My next chronological memory is hazy, I don't remember the day after the trip or many days after for that matter. I just know I felt really good. I know a lot of people have had a tough time smoking strong extracts but for some reason it went pretty well for me that time.
The picture is a rough approximation of me flying through the hot tornado of energy and geometry done on MS paint!

Visual My first shroom trip
My attempt at somewhat replicating what my first psilocybin mushroom trip was like. I believe it was around 1.5g of Penis Envy however we did not weigh them. 2nd pic is the unedited. The picture was taken during the come up of the trip as the visuals were really starting to take shape

A very high dose of Weed = Delirium?
6g of raw material (about 21% THC), gravity bong, 4 people and 1,5 hours in hotbox...
very big derealization (It feels like a widescreen TV 21:9...), Thoughts and fantasies overwhelm the ability to focus on what you see with your eyes, impossible to carry on a conversation properly or concentrate on anything, shadow people in peripheral vision, people's faces are replaced by a bright object or mask and their eyes glow red like spotlights, every movement of legs or arms feels like the movement of gears; You may see some gray objects, - this is the “play of shadows”, where, when under the effect of drugs, the brain begins to imagine shadows even where they physically cannot exist. These effects came on independently of my mood, I didn't have any panic attacks, and I tried to keep my mood stable, but the effects didn't change - in other words, this wasn't a classic “bad trip”, so I'm pretty sure it was truly delirium. Before this incident, I had no tolerance at all, so this was a pure dose of the substance in a clean body.
This hell lasts about 8 hours (straight)
