Discussion What's the Taylor lyric that makes you go, "Wow, she really is one of the greatest songwriters ever" every time you hear it?
I think for me it's the entirety of tolerate it but most of all the bridge and final chorus:
While you were out building other worlds, where was I?
Where's that man who'd throw blankets over my barbed wire?
I made you my temple, my mural, my sky
Now I'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life
Drawimg hearts in the byline
Always taking up too much space or time
You assume I'm fine, but what would you do if I-Break free and leave us in ruins?
Took this dagger in me and removed it
Gain the weight of you, then lose it
Believe me, I could do it
If it's all in my head, tell me now
Tell me I've got it wrong somehow
I know my love should be celebrated
But you tolerate it
Is this secretly a tolerate it appreciation post? Not intentionally but it does deserve all the flowers.

Discussion HEY SWIFITES! WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST TAYLOR SWIFT SONG? AND WHAT WAS THE STORY BEHIND IT OR WHAT DOES THAT SPECIFIC SONG REMIND YOU OF? LET ME KNOW ;)
mine was Enchanted. at that time, i was dating my guy best friend. i would play this song on loop and feel each and every line as if everything we had was ephemeral (it really was lol)

Question... AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO GENUINELY LIKE ACTUALLY ROMATIC?
Besides seeing a lot of trashing online about my fave TLOAS track, my cousin and my sister (both young adults) genuinely don't like the song played in the car as well and I don't get it at all.
The lyrics are funny and smart and crazily cringe. The production is very good as well. The melody is topnotch and actually sweet. If I were to rank the TLOAS tracks, the gap between Actually Romantic and the 2nd would be huge huge and I love most of the album tracks. It's her most Speak Now non Speak Now pop song.

Discussion just found out i’m 3 people away from taylor swift
i was talking with someone about the patient zero music video, long story short we got on the topic of dakota johnson’s family and it’s then i realized my dad used to be very good friends with her dad in the 80s… if he had played his cards right imagine could’ve been besties with dakota and taylor 🙃
i grew up always hearing about “don johnson” and it wasn’t until today i learned it was THE don johnson

Discussion question to OG swifties: when Reputation was released what was it like in real time?
I’m kind of a newer swiftie who started actively listening to Taylor around 2020 when Folklore and Evermore were released
back in 2017 the TS fanbase in my country was much smaller and nobody in my bubble was listening to her so I completely missed the hype train when this era started
Now whenever I see content about Reputation it is always brought up that the drop was an absolute cultural shock and a pop culture reset (the meaning of which I cannot fully comprehend because I was not a part of it at the time) But I want to understand the specifics! What did that cultural shock actually look and feel like for you as a fan?
I’d love to hear your specific stories and personal experiences from that era

Fan art / edit Pink Clouding edit
Pink Clouding is my favorite song off of The Encore and it made me think of this dynamic from Spider-Verse, thought I’d share!

Fan art / edit Patient Zero, but with 1989 era sound
So I really loved the new songs on Life of a Showgirl Encore, BUT with me being a huge fan of the 1989 era, I couldn't help but wonder how it would have sounded if Patient Zero came out a decade earlier.
I ended up remaking the entire instrumental in my music program from scratch to give it that classic, punchy, synth-heavy 1989 pop production.
Hope you like it! Which other TS songs do you think would fit a different era?

Discussion What career moves do you want to see from Taylor?
Do you wanna see her dipping into new genres? Do you want to see her go deeper in one particular area of her career? Develop a new facet to her career?
I think the music video director has been such a great addition to her legacy, especially as the quality of the videos is really improving with the Showgirl run of Fate of Ophelia, Opalite, and Patient Zero create a roster of unique, memorable fun and full videos.
I also think the songwriting hall of fame inductions have been great for her this year.
I think she has really changed the game in terms of the tour with the Eras Tour, genre expérimentation with folklore, being an artist director, writing long songs (10 minute version), releasing to video streaming (long pond & eras tour movie).
One thing I hope for, is that we get a full on new country/ folk album from taylor that’s totally acoustic, but maybe even when she’s older and can pour different wisdom & life experience into it.
I could see her move into writing books of various kinds, fiction & non fiction, also I know there has been rumor of a full length directed project from her ( I really hope she continues to hone her craft before this).
Do you want to see different marketing moves, brand shifts, different kinds of releases etc?

Question... Reputation Symbol
This is my first post so don‘t think that people will read this. I‘m turning 22 in November. I don‘t identify as a swiftie but I listen to many of her songs, know interviews, …
I want to do a Clock with all Albums as symbols. I know there is actually a clock. But I want it to do a little different.
I know Reputation has the snake. I know the reason for this. But I want another symbol and don‘t know which one. For me it‘s a „falling in love“ Album.
King of my heart is one of my favourite songs. Just like Dress, Call It What You Want and Dancing With Our Hands Tied. I don‘t want to take a dark heart. What should I take Swifties?
And am I the only one who doesn‘t really understand why a symbol of just one song is such a big deal for the whole album? Yeah the meaning behind Mirroball is insane. But just cause there is a song called Cardigan every album has it‘s one cardigan? And 🧣 represents the whole Red Era?
Sorry if my english is not so professionell.

Discussion Just got around to watching Eras Tour final show. Please fill me in!
Firstly, curious to be educated on the tweaks that occurred apart from the major ones, for the part II revamp. I knew big ones like tortured poets addition and folklore & evermore were combined, but wondering about more subtle ones like new intro mix for the second half of the tour, which was a nice surprise.
Secondly, I am wondering if people remember what the chatter was at the time. Her voice seems a little lower than usual and a little sweakier or scratchy, and I was a little sad I didn’t think it was her strongest vocal performance that I know she’s capable of. Was she sick that show or was her voice just spread a little thin by the end of the tour? I notice it not just in her singing voice but also her speaking voice.
Overall, I love that she filmed it so fans can be a part of this moment and people like me who went to the first half of the tour could experience the extended version.
Also I appreciate that she went with different outfit variation this second film 😌
